Used? *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2018* The drive seems to work OK on my Windows 10 system to read data DVD's, but I can't get it to play a movie. I've tried it with two different computers and several movie DVD's. I've requested help from the seller and will update this review if anything changes.6/12/18 update. Did a web search for the model number on the back of the drive, ECD819-SU3, and turns out that model number is for the housing, not the actual drive inside. Apparently it is used with a number of different drives, many of which have been taken from used computers. If you look in Device Manager - DVD drives, you can determine the actual drive details, in my case a Matshita UJ880AS, circa 2010. The fact that a variety of drives can be put in the housing may explain why there are vastly different experiences when using this product. I resolved my DVD movie issue by changing it to Region 1 (it had been 2) in device properties. The seller was very responsive in helping me resolve my issue. My old laptop was probably bought seven years ago which begins to appear a variety of problems. Now I got a new one from my sister a month ago. BTW, the Express is awesome cause it delivered three days in advance. The driver turns out to be a good one.
