Paperlike® Folio Case for iPad Air 11", Air (5th,4th) & Pro 11" (4th,3rd)

This is a nice case. It better be, for $70. If anyone has a Kindle with the official cloth case, this iPad case has the exact same cloth. The same sort of coarse polyester weave that’s grippy and sturdy. Other reviews note frayed edges, which I will look out for as time goes on. The edge dressing does appear to be less substantial than the dressing on the official Kindle case. Other reviews also note weak magnets all around, which I cannot agree with. My case holds the iPad nice and firmly. The cover snaps closed and stays closed, and when folded back onto itself it’s quite strong as well. Finally, other reviews note that the flap covering the pencil doesn’t lay flat. Mine certainly does. The flap really has two positions it can lock to magnetically. One position snaps it down without room for a pencil, and the other makes room for the pencil. I’m happy with this case. Update: reports of this cause causing some sort of interference are correct. The magnets in this case are very strong, and they cause a soft buzzing sound almost constantly. It’s noticeable in quiet environments, but not audible with even the slightest background noise. I have to wonder if this will cause issues with prolonged use.

The item is incredibly beautiful and of high quality, but unfortunately, it doesn’t adhere to the iPad. I’m not sure if it’s a manufacturer recall or something else. One of the reviewers mentioned this issue, but I wasn’t convinced that it was such a significant problem because it doesn’t even fit on the iPad. Therefore, I’m not sure why they’re selling this product and risking their reputation gained from the screen protectors.

wow I took a chance with this case after reading so many bad reviews and I was not disappointed glad I followed my instincts. this case is exactly what I was looking for it feels sturdy and well made. on another note I read in so many reviews that the magnet's where not very strong I just received it today and place my iPad Pro 13 inch on to and gave it a little shake to see if it would fall off and it stayed in place so far no complains I lov either! it is thin not bulky in any way, another good thing is it hold my Apple Pencil in place I added a few fotos and down the line I will make a video. the only suggestion I have is if the company can make the magnets a bit stronger on the back and what holds the Apple Pencil other than that I am very please with my purchase. oh and by the way the grey color is very pretty. so don't go by the bad reviews and buy it you will not be disappointed.

I agonized over which case to get for my iPad Air 11 inch. I wanted something slim, lightweight, would look like a folio, would fold open so that I could hold it on my lap like a notebook, and would prop it up when I watch movies. Despite some bad reviews, THIS is the one! (I threw away my first attempt, which was cheap and flimsy.) Looks like a professional folio cover, has no extra bulk, and does what I need it to do. I'm surprised by those who say it has no magnetic hold, this snapped into place with ease. And one other funny thing: My last case's cut out for the thumbprint button made it so the thumbprint never worked. This one doesn't have that problem. I also like the flap that goes around the pencil much more than my last case, which had a bit of extra room for the pencil embedded in the case (made the entire thing bulkier.) The flap does the job well! Only downside is there isn't a way to stand it vertically, but most low profile cases have that same issue.

The case fits the iPad well and keeps it secure, so no complaints there. But the reason I gave it two stars is the magnetic cover for the Apple Pencil. It barely holds shut when the Pencil is inside, and that was literally the whole reason I picked this over the Apple Folio. Without the Pencil in there, the cover snaps closed no problem. Add the Pencil and the magnet is so weak that any little bump knocks it open. So what's even the point? I bought this case specifically for that feature. If it wasn't going to work right, I would have just paid the extra $20 for the Apple version.

It works and looks great on the iPad Pro 11" M4 with a Rock Paper Pencil screen protector. Just in case anyone may be wondering if this case is compatible with the Elago pencil case accessory, then no it isn't. You can still attach the pencil magnetically to the iPad with the case on, but the flap won't close properly. The alternative to this scenario may be getting Paperlike's grip accessory, but some customers shared that it also isn't compatible with this folio case despite Paperlike advertising that it is. I'm conflicted on which statement is true. The fitting is a little weird though. The magnet seems strong enough, but the camera cut-out is a little misaligned most of the time unless you correct it manually. And even then it will probably get misaligned again with normal use. Not that big of a deal normally, but for the price of this case it should not even be a problem. I'm also noticing that the iPad looks slightly "lifted" around the camera area which is concerning. That being said, I want to be happy with the case right now. I've been interested in this case for a while and have been wanting to get it, so right now I'm happy to finally get it. I just hope this feeling continues—and that the case is durable— because reviews from others saying the fabric starts to look bad (perhaps due to pilling?) after only under a month of use is concerning to me. That and the other issues I noticed doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I think the packaging of the Paperlike Folio can also use an improvement. Currently, the corners are exposed so given enough drops during shipment process the corners are liable to get damaged in some way. Mine became subject to this predicament. It could have been avoided if it got shipped in a box with proper cushioning inside, but mine came in an envelope without any padding or protection inside at all! It was literally the Paperlike Folio chucked inside an envelope!

I can confirm this folio case fits the 2025 13” M5 iPad Pro. The magnet on the back is strong enough to hold the iPad even when simply holding it in the air by just the front cover, the iPad is still secure and doesn’t detach or fall at all. It seems pretty secure, I didn’t really flail it around to test the limits but I’m not worried about it detaching from simply opening and closing on the daily. It’s safe and secure. It looks absolutely beautiful on my new iPad and keeps the slim aesthetics of the device and the material is super nice. I was hesitant to buy bc of other reviews that said the material frays after just a few months. I don’t really care at this point bc it just looks and feels so nice. I gave it 4 stars bc the flap that covers the Apple Pencil doesn’t fully close with the Apple Pencil attached, at least not initially. Without the pencil it closes just fine. It’s brand new out of the package and is a little stiff. I just need to “break it in” and fold it several times so that it fits the shape/thickness of the Apple Pencil given it is thicker than the iPad itself. Other than that, it’s perfect! The flap does attach and stick to the back when opened, no problems. Yes it was expensive, but not as expensive as the Apple brand, and I chose this over the paperlike bumper bc like I said, the slim profile is what I care about most, and I’m not traveling with it really. I might just get a sleeve if I do end up traveling with it.

I recently complained about product and company, must eat my words. All folio cases appear to have weak magnets. The paperlike case will hold, but iPad can be removed too easy for some of us. The company contacted me and exchanged for their bumper case which is great. Their customer service needs a 10 star. Every company should be like Paperlike and make sure their customers are satisfied. I will always look at Paperlike for future cases and products. I highly recommend. The cases are thin, light and have excellent feel. Quality appears to be great.

This really is a great case. The right balance of protection and weight. The securing flap is magnetic and hold the case in place when in the stand position so there is some adjustment. It also hold the pen in place for that added security. The soft finish is comfortable and the magnets are strong.

Super light, protect the iPad as well as the Apple Pencil pro, ad is really beautiful and easy to use. Happy with the purchase. The iPad is pretty stable when on “standing” mode.

He de decir que durante un tiempo me abstuve de comprar esta funda por algunas de las reseñas y vídeos. No obstante, viendo que en el mercado no había ninguna funda que, por diseño, me llamase más la atención, decidí “arriesgarme” ( lo pongo entre comillas porqué con Amazon siempre puedes devolver). Cuando llego llegó producto, perfectamente protegido, ya pude entrever las filosofía de la marca (cuidado por el detalle, caja de cartón reciclado pero no pero ello menos premium…) en cuanto tuve la funda en mis manos, en seguida pude notar la calidad de los materiales, un tono de un color gris muy elegante, pero sobretodo la textura que una vez en la mano se siente de calidad y además no se marca con las manos, ni se mancha con facilidad. Es de un color y un material muy sufridos. Como único aspecto “negativo” ( lo pongo entre Comillas porque esto no tiene porqué será malo en sí mismo) la funda añade algo de peso al conjunto, no la he pesado con una báscula, pero diría que pesa un poco más que mi iPad de 13”, aunque a mí personalmente me parece que le da estabilidad. Por último, respecto a los vídeos en los que se muestra que la pestaña no cierra ( esto es lo que me daba miedo) tened en cuenta dos cosas: 1 que el lápiz se sostiene por sí solo y que, por tanto, la pestaña es un cobertura estética que protege el lápiz, pero no lo tiene que mantener en su sitio, porque el lápiz ya tiene esta propiedad. Y 2 que la funda está hecha de 3 capas, 2 de tela y una intermedia polímero, y tenemos que recordar que los polímeros tienen la capacidad de memorizar posiciones, y que para indicarles las nueva posición (con el Pencil dentro, cosa que hará que área de doblado se reduzca) tienen que darse alguna de estas situaciones: 1 se cierra la solapa y se deja peso encima durante varias horas o días, 2 se cierra la solapa y se les aplica calor en esta posición durante un rato y luego se deja enfriar, o 3 desgastamos a largo plazo el área de doblez, de manera que acabará volviéndose más dócil. En cualquier caso, si el fabricante hubiera hecho más frágil de inicio está pestaña, lo que hubiera pasado es que ese sería el primer punto por el que se desgastaría rápidamente la funda.
