Pretty good value imho, considering even on sale the Asus x13 3050 with 1TB SSD goes for about 800, and the XG mobile with the AMD 6850 also was about 800 a pop. You are essentially getting both for 700 each with this deal. Plus, free bags for both.Downside is XG mobile isn't as plug and play as you would think. There are steps involves to plug in -> enable connection via Armory Crate or Ghelper -> use -> Disconnect before you unplug. It's definitely a hassle. But if you are get around that, the gaming performance is nothing to sneeze at given in the eGPU form factor the cooling is much more efficient, they don't cap the GPU at 60W (Which would be the case if you use X13's GPU directly). So this set up will give you even better performance than say the new X13 with a build in 4070 for over 2000 bucks, with the only downside being how cumbersome it is to use XG mobile.And if you also want to look into the ROG Ally, it will also work with this XG Mobile.Recommend you do all the updates via MyAsus, update the XG-mobile via Armory Crate, and once that's done, uninstall all the Asus bloats and just use Ghelper for everything.

The initial configuration is a nightmare, installing the drivers and using it with armory crate, however once it is achieved and changed to ghelper everything works fine, I have been using it as the main septup for two months now. As advice, uninstall armory crate, use ghelper and amd adrenalin.

Right from the start, I noticed that the build quality did not meet the expectations one would have for a premium gaming laptop. The hinge felt flimsy and prone to wobbling, which was concerning for a device that is designed to transition between various modes. Furthermore, the touchscreen often registered phantom touches, making it frustrating to use in tablet mode. These issues left me questioning the overall durability and longevity of the device.The software experience was equally problematic. The ASUS ROG Flow X13 came loaded with software issues that rendered it nearly unusable for gaming and everyday tasks. The biggest concern was with the gaming performance; the system was riddled with bugs and glitches that resulted in frequent crashes and freezes during gameplay. No matter how much I tried to adjust settings or update drivers, the problems persisted.Additionally, the supposed seamless integration of the XG Mobile external GPU, a key selling point of this laptop, turned into a nightmare. The software failed to recognize the XG Mobile unit consistently, and even when it did, the promised performance boost was often underwhelming or non-existent. It's disheartening to spend extra money on an accessory that doesn't deliver on its advertised capabilities.To add to my frustration, ASUS customer support proved unhelpful in resolving these issues. Multiple attempts to seek assistance resulted in long wait times, generic troubleshooting advice, and no tangible solutions. It felt like ASUS was not adequately addressing the widespread problems associated with the ROG Flow X13.In conclusion, my experience with the ASUS ROG Flow X13 has been a regrettable one. Defective hardware and dysfunctional software have overshadowed what could have been a promising gaming laptop with its unique 2-in-1 design. I cannot recommend this product in its current state, and I hope ASUS addresses these issues promptly to provide a better user experience for future customers.

1. Using this laptop requires you to know a bit about PC components. There are a lot of settings in the included control software, called "ASUS Armory Crate," that let you adjust the performance vs battery life ratio.2. To get the best battery life, you need to set Power Level to "Silent" and GPU Mode to "Eco" otherwise you will not get good battery life, but that is expected as the system can run quite fast.3. This laptop charges over USB C and comes with a 100 watt USB C charger with a permanently attached cable. This charger has a communication chip that lets the laptop know an ASUS official charger is being used. **You must use the ASUS charger to get the full 100 watts of power and obtain full system performance in "Turbo" mode.** Using ANY other charger will limit you to 65 watts which only allows for "Normal Performance" or "Silent" modes. As well, charging while using the system will be slower and the battery may even stop charging, or even drain, depending on your power mode and what youre doing.4. The CPU is incredibly strong in this thing. The iGPU is also very capable even at low power mode. The dedicated Nvidia GPU is even better although it draws more power. The included AMD external GPU dock with this bundle is insanely fast, and rivals that of a desktop AMD RX 6700XT. Expect more than enough power when plugged in on the go, and desktop-class power when connected to the external GPU dock.5. The GPU dock needs software to run properly. **Be sure to check Armory Crate often for software and system updates.** You may encounter small bugs or issues otherwise.6. Sometimes the system hard resets during use with the external GPU in use, likely due to the laptop not knowing how to drive the internal monitor. This has been a lot better since I updated the software, and using an external monitor the issue never happens to me at all.7. A stylus pen is included in the little envelope of documentation, be sure to grab it. Its magnetic, but there is no place on the laptop to actually hold it. But theres room in the included carry case.8. This laptop gets very hot when plugged in (to either the charger or the external GPU dock) and set to Turbo mode and playing games. Since the laptop folds over on itself, you can flip it around so the intakes on the bottom of the laptop face upwards and itll get tons more airflow, and run about 10-15 degrees cooler and have less fan noise too. In the box is a cardboard stand for when you need to do this but dont want to set the keyboard facing downwards.This is a worthy purchase if you want as much performance as you can get in as small of a form factor you can get. Practically no other brand makes something like this. ASUS's external GPU runs faster than a USB4/Thunderbolt-based one because the ASUS system uses a higher speed connector, and it shows.If you dont care as much about super portability, OR if youd rather not bother with a dock station and just want the laptop to have high power in itself, check out the ASUS Flow X16 instead.
