They're very portable and aren't anything like the old bulb systems that can get quite hot. These stay cool even at the brightest settings and were pretty easy to assemble. I left it at 100 percent load for a little more than 8 hours. It held up and had a full battery afterwards so looks like it can run on power alone. Didn't get that hot either. Tip: I used a 3 amp wall charger to get this result. I don't know if you have any leeway to use anything less.
