It's perinatally attached to the bag and the insertion into the catheter is fixed. As it's called a night bag, I find the length very helpful for sleeping as I keep the bag hooked to the inside of a very clean bucket on the floor below me. When walking around- only in the house, I place the bag hook to my pant pocket and the tube just drapes. I've had a 38' inch somewhere in the past and I did not like it. **Q: Will this work with a plura x catheter?** A: It’s convenient and easy to drained **Q: Diameter of tube** A: I don't know. If you're talking about the tube used for draining it into the toilet, it's a little smaller, but where you open it, is better. BUT I can't remember what brand before I, that bag came with a hook that made it so much easier to get off of the bed for draining it. The bags you're asking for are cheaper. Other than that, which is a huge deal overall because it can cause blockage and for the bag to explode open, seems like they wear ok and hook onto your pants ok.
