I have been a runner for 30 years, studied nutrition in graduate school, run countless half marathons and 6 marathons (albeit slowly!), and worked through many injuries and hours of PT -- even with all of that under my belt, I learned new information from the very first page of this book! I think of it like a "must-have manual" for my ongoing running journey and refer to it all the time whenever I'm thinking through the next run, race, or workout. I am SO grateful for this resource -- best investment you could make as an athlete!

I have been a runner for over 15 years, so I have had my fair share of injuries. I only wish I had this book as a resource earlier to help me treat and prevent so many of the training setbacks I have experienced. Run Healthy is a comprehensive, yet also digestible, overview of all things related to the body and running. This book has taught me how I can become a better runner through strengthening and other treatment modalities. It's also made me a lot more confident in my ability to recognize an injury and has given me the tools to come back from an injury even stronger than I had been before. If you are a runner who is curious about how your body responds to running and wants to optimize your performance, then I highly recommend this book! You will find yourself returning to it over and over again.

This book is a wealth of information for runners. It focuses on prevention, injuries and treatments with expertise and clarity. I have struggled with injuries over the years (as almost all runners have) and this seems like a bible on how to maintain your health as a runner!

As a PT, coach and runner I understand all sides of running injuries. This book is useful for me as an athlete AND clinician. Great pictures and descriptions. Has helped me explain issues to patients, athletes and remind myself of the most clinically applicable methods for rehabing my own injuries. For the amount of helpful information, this book is a bargain.

While I'd love to say I've been injury free running, that's unfortunately not the case over my two+ decades of competitive running. Run Healthy is a fantastic resource for runners both new to the sport and runners with many miles of experience. This is a book that has sat on my coffee table or at eye level on my bookshelf since it arrived. When I'm feeling a tweak or have some pain starting up, I open the book to the relevant chapter and can easily identify which steps I should be taking to avert the injury. While there is no book which can replace a physical therapist when needed, Run Healthy goes a long way to guide us to focus on functional mechanics to overcome and injury or to prevent us from needing to visit the PT in the first place.
