Levi'sMen's 569 Loose Straight Denim Shorts (Also Available in Big & Tall)

After buying a couple pairs of Levi Denizen cargo jeans, I was impressed to finally have found another company that's actually back to making loose-fitting pants with decently-sized pockets to fit today's modern smartphones. Been wearing JNCO's more moderate 13" offerings the past few years since they got back in business, but after their last buyout, their current focus on giant baggy pants and $100+ pricing wasn't my thing.The Levis 469 shorts aren't excessively baggy, but loose and comfortable. Would prefer an inch longer past the knee (or an inch higher up the waist). These cover the knees nicely while standing, but unfortunately tends to expose the knee quite a bit while sitting. The crotch is low and roomy and doesn't ride up like the hem near the knees. Front pockets are deep and spacious. Not as much as JNCOs, but far better than Southpole and most other brands. Rear pockets are average, but could definitely be an inch or two deeper (or lower). It's far more comfortable and posture-friendly to sit on a wallet under your upper leg than directly under your butt. Waist size fits exactly as expected.Originally bought my first pair of 469 shorts in Slow Walker black, but absolutely loved the grey/faded black look of the (New) A Look Back color and bought those a few days later when they dropped to the same price. Not really a fan of the randomly frayed hem on the faded black pair, since this will easily happen on their own after time and pre-ripped/frayed jeans just needlessly accelerate this wear and tear. They look great for now, but not sure how well they'll look after several washes. I'm actually considering getting another pair in this color as a backup.For around $30, the overall quality is outstanding. Maybe not the weight, thickness and attention to detail as a pair of JNCO shorts, but miles better than Southpole shorts for nearly the same price. While the Levi 469 shorts and 569 jeans aren't exactly back to the 90s that I remember with JNCO, Karl Kani, Cross Colours and other baggy skater/urban wear, but they're a heck of a lot better than all the skinny jeans I've been trying to avoid ever since then. Definitely recommend giving them a try for the price.

So happy to find these!!! Why is it so hard to find plain jean shorts that are not distressed, not skinny (girly),and not excessively short these days? Guess this fit is out of style LOL to most people. These really fit like old school regular jean shorts. Plain, no frills, good fitting Levis, and dont have a butt where the back pockets are way too far apart. Thick enough material and feel well made like they will last. HOWEVER...they do run big in the waist. My husband is a 38 or 40 in ALL pants/ shorts. Mostly a 40. Never is he under a 38 in any fit,style. Through trial and error the 36 fits him perfect. Also at 6'5 w his height being all legs I almost bought the big and tall version. Glad I didn't. The standard size was the perfect length surprisingly. Just past his knee. Finally after searching for 3 years found a good fit. Ordered 3 more pairs!!!!! Hopes this helps another frustrated shopper.

They are nice shorts made out of good material

Fits as expected for my size. Some styles and colors do vary in fit and in length. Usually on the longer or wider width of the waist portions. I don't sag my shorts so they fit on the waist for what your normal size will be in pants but with some leg room. I typically wear size 36-38wx30L in Levis 511's and 38wx30L 512's where the fit is comfortable and not ballbusting snug. at 225lbs 5'10".

I like that they were Levi's cuz I'm a big fan of Levi's I like the color of black but they're not as described on the picture
