D-Mannose Powder 3 Ounces (Pack of 2)

I wish that I could give d-mannose 10 stars!! I am in no way, shape, or form a doctor of any sort, but all I can offer is my own personal experience with using d-mannose. I started taking D-Mannose daily about a year ago to try and prevent my very constant and reoccurring UTIs. I was constantly suffering from pain and was taking one antibiotic after antibiotic. Eventually, i thought, "enough is enough! there must be some kind of supplement I can take for this!" After some searching and researching online, I found D-Mannose and it is incredible! If you struggle with E. coli-caused UTIs I would highly recommend using this product. D-mannose is 100% safe. It is a sugar monomer, which is not metabolically broken down by the body. So, you stir the mannose into water, drink it, and it goes through your urinary tract system and into your bladder. There, the e. Coli happily feast on the sugars and then get passed through the bladder when you pee, instead of munching the lining of your bladder and causing you pain and problems. The e.coli never become resistant to it, unlike antibiotics and it's safe! The only discomfort I had, was when i would accidentally take too much and give myself a sore tummy, but it was manageable! I was happy to find out that D-Mannose powder not only prevents UTIs, but also TREATS them! The most difficult thing for me though, was finding out exactly how much to take and when to take it! So, I will share with you my exact dosages: Every time I took D-mannose, the dosage is one teaspoon in about half a cup of water. getting the right water to mannose ratio is important. You should be able to taste the sugar when you drink water. If i did not have a UTI, but wanted to take D- mannose as a preventative daily treatment: One teaspoon in the morning in about half a cup of water and the same thing right before bed. With a UTI: First day: one heaped teaspoon as soon as a symptom arrises. then another heaped teaspoon an hour later. After that, one normal teaspoon every 2-3 hours. Second day: one teaspoon every 3 hours Third day: one teaspoon every 4 hours Fourth day: one teaspoon three times a day Possibly Fifth day: one teaspoon three times a day The important thing with self dosing, is figuring out YOUR dosing. My dosage may not work exactly for you. Sometimes I would find that even after day two of treatment, I would still have some pain, so i would jump back to day one treatment and continue on from there. When you first start using d-mannose it is important to listen to your body. and of course, If d-mannose is not working for you, see a doctor and get yourself the proper medications that you need. If a UTI is left untreated, it can cause kidney infections and kidney damage. D-mannose tastes sweet and looks a bit like powdered sugar. I dont really like the taste, but honestly, who can complain about being healthy! I still do get UTIs from time to time when i'm silly and skip a dose, but I can manage without prescriptions and am as happy as i can be with this product. I happen to buy this particular brand because I have found that it is the cheapest, while still being 100% pure d-mannose powder.

I've been using NOW's D-Mannose for a few years. I don't want to EVER be without it! I first bought it at the tail-end of a bladder infection. I was on antibiotics, and even after finishing those, I didn't feel 'right'...I ordered the D-Mannose and within 24 hours I was 100%. Since then, I start using this product any time I feel a bladder infection coming on. It clears it up within hours! I haven't had to see the doctor because of a UTI in years, OR take any antibiotics, either! The D-Mannose is a powder that has the same consistency as powdered sugar. It also has a sweet flavor. You mix it in water and drink it down. When I start to suffer with a UTI, I use this every few hours and I swear, I'm symptom-free immediately. In the past, I've used cranberry pills, but they just don't work as fast or as completely as D-Mannose. But D-Mannose is why cranberry pills work - it prevents bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. But D-Mannose works better than anything, including antibiotics. This two pack is a great value. I was out of town a few months ago and I didn't take any with me, and had to buy it at Whole Foods. A single jar was $28! But I was so happy to have it, I would've paid anything. Since then, I've ordered more from Amazon and will not leave home without it. This is the best brand, best value and if you use this every few hours, your symptoms will disappear. It's amazing.

I read about this product online when one of my cats came down with an UTI. I wanted to know if there was a gentle way to treat the infection or if there was a preventative I could buy online. Several people mentioned D- Mannose powder. I decided to try it and see if it worked or not. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find this product is totally safe for people, and cats. I saw results, but I will say this product should not be used as the only treatment, especially if the infection is more serious, it's in an acute stage, or in a male cat. Under those circumstances a vet should be consulted, but this product does help clear up the UTI a lot faster. Also, read the dosage information, as I was not giving my cat the correct amount at first so results were much slower. My female cat ate the powder when it was mixed into her food and this has really helped her avoid painful recurrences. I keep a bottle on hand and buy it exclusively on Amazon because it is way too expensive at the local health food store which is the only place I can buy it in my hometown. Naturally, every person or pet is different and results may vary, but this product really helped us get my cat's UTI get cleared quicker and is totally safe.

As many have already said in their own posts, I am not a medical professional, but all I can tell you is that I truly feel like this product has changed my life! I am 24 and have suffered from "chronic UTIs" (which is a fancy way of saying the doctors have no explanation as to why I get them so much more easily than others) since I was 14. Those of you who suffer from this know how much anxiety it can cause. I would have good years and terrible years, but the year before last was especially awful as I had gotten 5 UTIs that year. Desperate for a solution other than constantly taking antibiotics I came across the info on D-Mannose powder and decided to give it a ago. I am happy to say that I have been UTI free for a whole year now! I do not take it every day. Only if I feel like I might be getting one or if I am going to do something that COULD be a trigger like spending a day at the lake or all day outside in the heat with a lot of movement and sweating or taking a bubble bath, you name it! And it puts my mind at ease, and, as far as I can tell, cleans out the bacteria. If you suffer from chronic UTI as well, please, please, please do yourself a favor and give this a try!

Used to prevent a urine infection. You must use it at the very first sign of an infection or it will not work. Put one heaping teaspoon in 2-3 inches of water. Repeat a few times during day till symptoms totally disappear. This is a miracle “non drug”! Works!!

I really like this product. The price is the best that I’ve been able to find. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that it advertised two 3oz bottles but I received one 6oz instead. It really isn’t a big deal but I thought it would stay fresher longer if it was divided in two

I use this product for my cat who is prone to E. Coli UTI's. Since using this product she hasn't had another UTI.

We have been using Now Foods D-Mannose, as well as Cosequin, daily in cats at our rescue that have idiopathic cystitis and chronic urinary tract infections. Although I cannot comment on how well D-Mannose works on its own, I can say that combined with Cosequin, the cats seem to experience far fewer symptoms of idiopathic cystitis and urinary tract infections. I would highly recommend this product.
