Edit: So the manufacturers updated the product and sent me one. I gotta say, it's 100% better. The light actually points to the end of the suction tube, making finding and aiming the vacuum much more accurate. It makes using the product significantly more enjoyable. You can see the old lighting on the left and the new design on the right.All that said, I highly recommend the product. It does what it needs to do and does it well.OLD REVIEW: It does what it does very well but the light is in the absolute stupidest position. It should be around the base of the probe or at least slightly above it. Where it is makes it near worthless for actually probing. You kind of spot the stones and then go in blind.Still, the vacuum portion makes it all worth it. Just wish they put a little more thought into the design.

This didn't work for me at all and was a waste of money. I wanted to return it, but it was used and thought better not lol. So it will be going in the trash unfortunately.It may work for some people, but did not for me. I later bought the actual long metal dental tonsil stone removers. It has a little spoon/scoop on the end and you go in and clean out your tonsils yourself. I prefer the metal dental tonsil stone remover method. Also, when did we ever learn we'd have to clean out our tonsils in life?

It is well made and works but if you can't see what you are doing it makes it difficult to use. As anybody who has tried to attend to tonsil stones knows you really need three hands at times. One to hold the light - one to pull back the part of your throat that partially covers the tonsils and another hand to remove the stone. The problem with the light on this unit is that it is mounted on the body of the vacuum and when you try to use it your mouth shadows the light so that the tonsil is not lit up. You end up poking around the back of your mouth blindly. I am not going to return it and I plan to figure out how I can mount a led light closer to the tip - maybe a very small flashlight.

I think my particular stone was a little more stubborn, so unfortunately this product did not work for me. You do have to be careful when using it to not irritate your throat per the instructions. Given the stubbornness of my stone, can't say how well it normally works, but the suction does seem to be there for your average stone.Some drawbacks do the device is that it can feel a little clunky at times and the maneuverability isn't as good as I would like to easily reach the hard to get stones far in the back of the mouth.As far as product quality goes, the material doesn't feel cheap, which is nice.

This thing is amazing! To keep it working well, clean after each use and don't turn it on when there is still water in it from cleaning. Mine has lasted 2 years with no issues.

I had initially purchased the previous iteration of this gizmo. I wasn't able to use that one for its intended purpose as the lighting angle illuminated the inside of my mouth - but not back far enough for me to see my tonsils.I have the new version now and oh my goodness the lighting update they did on this is amazing. If you are looking at reviews and seeing the bad reviews on the lighting angle they have updated this and it makes a huge difference.I have cryptic tonsils and a severe gag reflex, so it's still hard for me to maneuver something to my tonsil area. With the new lighting angle to light the way hahahah it's a worthwhile part of my tonsil stone fighting tool kit.The customer service and communication is great as well.

The device looks promising but has some major flaws.1. Too bulky. it's hard to operate and also to actually point the LED to the spot for suction, you would have to put the device into the middle of the mouth which blocks the major of the view to the mouth.2. The lowest suction is still a little too strong. 2 seconds rule was strictly followed but I still get some bruises in the tissues.3. The suction tubes provided are too short.
