I got this cape for sun protection while gardening. It is great. I don't use the removable visor but would definitely use that if I was kayaking.This is also very useful as bug protection since only a small portion of your face is exposed if fully zipped. Of course they could fly up into the cape but that has not been a problem in my experience.The hood is very comfortable both on and when it is sitting on your back. There is no need to have it fully zipped to wear the hood in a comfortable manner and I love the pony hole.I have very small wrists and forearms and question if this would fit someone who didn't, there is no stretch in that area.I added snaps on each side of the cape wings so I could make it more fitted for working since the cape drapes down and is in your way while working.I will also do some reinforcement stitches by the thumb holes to make them last since this is a work shirt for me. Garment construction is acceptable, zipper quality is not amazing. The zipper coil itself is fine, but the pull is very low quality and doesn't fit the coil as well as a YKK brand. However, for the cost of the garment it is probably "quality" appropriate.I am considering buying a second one to keep clean for wearing other than as my garden work shirt. Also would make a great gift for someone who spends a lot of time outside and is concerned about sun exposure.

The material is soft and thick enough to block out sunlight adequately. The brim of the hat is made of a sponge-like material, so it cannot hold its shape, the zipper must be fully closed to maintain the hat-like appearance. When worn, the connection between the hat and the shoulders slightly protrudes. And talking about the appearance, if you bump into someone on the street, you'd probably run away quickly.

The stitching of the product seems lousy but the product serves the purpose.

Love this jacket to protect your face in the sun.perfect if you are a runner.no need to wear hat.

I bought one of these for a camping trip knowing I would need to be protected from lots of sun and bugs, and thanks to that I haven't been burned. High quality compared to other hoodie, the fabric is not too thin but very breathable. After that I used it as an air conditioning shirt, the air conditioning in my office is too cold.

this product was surprisingly sheer to be a sun protecting jacket. I wore it for 3 to 4 hours and direct sunlight and ended up getting a tan on my arms through it. The stitching was poorly made on the seams so i returned it

I bought these for Burning Man. I figured white would be a good reflective color. I thought right but didn't think how quickly it'll get dirty. Like before I even wore them. Wish the sleeves were a little longer for my monkey arms. Sometimes area that goes over them gets itchy because it's snug.The hat part doesn't really stay on in the wind but if it's a nice non windy but sunny day, it did its job.Might die it gray to cover stains for this years BM.

I’ve tried numerous sun protection products in the past, but this one truly stands out. The fabric is incredibly lightweight and breathable, comfortable to wear even on hot summer days. No sunburns anymore. Also I surprised that the quick-drying feature is an added bonus. It can takes up minimal space in my bags. Great for travel. I highly recommend this to everyone!  And I’ll buy a grey one to my sister.
