amazing.
My projector started displaying random white flashes; I replaced HDMI cables, reset all devices (projector, apple tv, surround audio system). Changed settings, swapped cables again. The culprit: my Vizio surround system. The HDA-929 fixed the issue, took less than a minute to set up. Small & unobtrusive, it perfectly sends the apple tv info to the vizio and the projector, and all is well... AND I didn't have to replace my surround system (my original plan). Great to find this device!

Works Great
My TV doesn't have E-Arc, and I stream using a Roku Ultra 4k, and have an EARC soundbar. Now I can control all 3 with Roku remote. However, after a couple of weeks of use, the sound quality would often sound like a tin can

Good audio extractor for 60fps screen
Tested with a PS5 and a 1440p 120Hz HDR VR monitor. Works well and extracts audio without issues. Good sound quality. It operates at 60Hz but doesn't support a 120Hz refresh rate at any resolution. HDR works flawlessly. No noticeable sound lag. Good product.

Overall works well, maybe Disney+ issues?
Bought to get 5.1 surround from a Google TV Streamer to an old dumb TV and a Sonos Beam gen1. It works for Amazon Prime and Netflix but Disney+ is still giving me Dolby 2.0. Still troubleshooting but I think the Orei isn’t playing well with Disney+. Also it’s a little finnicky, need to jiggle the HDMI connections sometimes. Besides that, works as advertised!

Works great for blind people to be able to use their Apple TV with their Bose smart sound bar
Let me say first that I’m visually impaired. I have a Bose smart sound bar 600 and an Apple TV unit and I wanted to be able to pair my Apple TV with a Bose smart sound bar, but you can’t connect them directly. You have to have an EARC port like what comes with a television, but if you’re not using a television, you need an audio extractor like this their audio extractors that use optical and you can do that and it works great, but they don’t play in Dolby Atmos. This device allows you to be able to pair your Apple TV with your Bose Smart sound bar and get Dolby Atmos signals through to the sound bar it sounds absolutely great. I recommend this product to anyone who would like to do that great product.

Signal drops when used with RTX3090TI GPU on PC
Here is my setup NVIDIA RTX3090TI HDMI out to OREI eARC 4K and from there out to my soundbar and to LG HDMI 4K Monitor. Unfortunately, this device fails to work with this setup. It does display video feed and sound to the soundbar but there seems to be timing issues with the signal where the 4K LG Monitor will flicker to black multiple times before it starts working again. I tried to connect it with different HDMI cables that support the signal but no luck. This device might work with Bluray player or gaming console but as far as it goes for PC and GPU support it fails. I ended up finding another device that seems to work without issue of dropping signal. Can be found under this code B0F62S348K here on Amazon. I decided to return this one.

This model is dangerous to own!
This was the second order for this device, the first one lasted 1 day before it stopped working due to EXTREME heat produced internally. This second one also got extremely hot, too hot to touch for me as did the first one. I consider this a danger plus that much heat will cause a failure quickly so am returning this one as well. I had read in other reviews that it got warm, these two did not just get warm they got HOT!!!!! Gave it 1 star because no stars is not an option.

Life saver for Dolby sound
1. Been struggling for so long to get the setup working but this product resolved my issue. 2. Although its been just half an hour i have set this up but it works already and flawlessly. 3. I'll talk about my issue and how this resolved it: 3.1 I’m contacting my cpu to my 65’ sony tv, which is connected to my bose 900 dolby atmos setup, but i was only getting stereo output. 3.2 Have trued dolby access too but it gave me choppy audio output, which keeps disconnecting in between 3.3 My ps5 gives me flawless atmos setup with the tv but pc was always an issue 3.4 I connected hdmi 2.1 from my graphics card to source in the product, then bose hdmi to earc/arc on the product, then third cable to hdmi 1(can be any hdmi port) on tv 3.5 opened the dolby access app and selected home theatre, it showed ready! 3.5 keep the access app open (minimise it) and it just worked 4. product pricing is definitely overpriced but nothing to complain on functionality front 5. Couldn’t be any more happy with it 6. Definitely recommend to anyone having this issue Update after 2 months usage 1. You have to unplug your tv first, yes unplug even the wall socket, let the hdmi get reset in 2-3mins 2. Plug in all the cables, switch on tv first, than the pc 3. Open dolby access app, minimise after setting up your home theatre and it just works 4. Only issue i faced is if i leave the computer idle fir a while it automatically stops working and then i have to repeat the whole process again of setting up, it maybe specific to my setup i dont know 5. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for taking highest quality audio from their pc
