Works just as you would expect. I gave it five stars because when I bought it, I didn't realize it has a drywall tab that helps keep the drywall flush. It's a nice added feature.

Speaker or phone wiring should use this type of open back box. But these sell at full retail below 2 dollars at my local Lowes.
