Travel Umbrella Windproof Vented Double Canopy with Teflon Coating - Portable Compact Foldable Lightweight Design and High Wind Resistance

I’d been researching quote heavily in a good quality umbrella after my years of buying cheap “breaks after one windy day” ones from the likes of budget friendly Primark. Firstly, I purchased the forest green colour which looks great, rich green and looks premium. Do note, this umbrella is more weighty and larger than your typical British handbag umbrellas but there’s a very handy clip attached to the cover that clips nicely to the hardware of my handbags. I bought this umbrella due to the typical dreary rain all day, all week weather predicted in Scotland for a joint birthday holiday trip. The umbrella did not disappoint and it covered me (a plus size lady) confidently. I would say it would be a push to cover two persons, perhaps it can with the expectation you may get dropped on the edges. The automatic open mechanism works well but as others suggested, it does take a thorough push to “reload” the spring. My tip is, after pressing the button to close the umbrella, physically drive the umbrella to the ground until the pole reduces in length and you hear the audible “click”. The handle of the umbrella felt practically and ergonically designed for the hand to grab onto. I would highly recommend this umbrella to anyone who’s after a high quality umbrella that offers a spring loaded open and close mechanism.

Have yet to use this brolly. First impressions very good, looks and feels well made. Operation simple and the sprung open/closing mechanism is strong so needs a good push for closing. I expect to get many years service from this brolly. I have registered with the company website for the ‘life time warranty’, hopefully I’ll not have to seek help.

I have just used this today for the first time . Well made and easy to put up and take down. It was a windy day . The umbrella coped well with the wind. I would recommend it. I have only given it 4 stars as it is slightly heavier than stated. This is because of the robust handle. Does not fit in my small back pack , so has to be carried separately if not used . The cover is good and easy to get on . So it will get used. I am happy with my purchase especially for the price. The green is a lovely colour.

I had already bought this same model for my wife and my mother-in-law, and they were both very satisfied with it. It opens extremely easily and quickly, which makes it very convenient. Since I also needed one, I bought it for myself. When it arrived, my wife actually said she liked the colour and thought she might use it sometimes too. To close it, you use the button as usual, but to complete the closing you need to push a little, as the spring offers some resistance. This is understandable, though, as it’s designed to help it open properly. Overall, a very practical and well-designed umbrella.

I purchased this umbrella in October 2019 when, a non-driver, got a job as a care worker in a venue on top of a big hill in a seaside town. Got off my bus at the bottom of the hill and walked nearly 25 mins to my workplace. Autumn started and I got frequently lashed on the hillside by the rain driven by the winds from the ocean. Not great to turn up like that for work. Discovering this umbrella really saved me and I totally fell in love with it. It's been already said in all these reviews but it's super sturdy. However the trick is actually in its flexibility - in the wind, the ribs just flex inwardly as seen in my pic, then spring back, not break. Yes in a very strong wind, very rarely, the umbrella might even invert itself but again, springs back into position, without any damage. I just love it, often preach about it to soaking-wet bypassers on the street and it's super satisfying walking with it past all the rubbish bins with broken umbrellas sticking out of them. How nice to know this has been the last umbrella I have ever bought! Having said that, after the UK winter season on that hillside, and it was one full of all the horrible storms and hurricanes with human names, the red umbrella I originally bought did give in, a part of a rib snapped. Ergonauts company very kindly immediately replaced it for no extra cost, I chose the yellow out of what was available, to brighten a grey day and we've walked together happily ever after till this day (September 2021). Just a little warning, this is not a dainty ladies' umbrella that fits in a pocket, it is a bit of a stonker (just under 1lb) and you could hit a potential attacker unconscious with it... but hey, you want solidity so here you have it. EDIT JANUARY 2023: So yes, here we still are, me and my yellow Ergonauts umbrella in perfect shape, still faithfully fending off those stormy rains, the best umbrella I've ever had. If you are thinking of getting one, don't hesitate no further.

I already had one of these umbrellas. I found it compact, lightweight, a good diameter and effective in windy weather. I therefore decided to purchase another. I find it ideal for travelling.

Great quality and price. Mechanism is strong and quick and the two layered fabric seems ideal for repelling water. Looks good too

This is mostly a great umbrella. It is a lovely cheerful canary yellow and provides excellent coverage from rain. I have taken it out in very windy weather and so far it has resisted every gust. The spring action means it opens quickly and effortlessly (although make sure no-one is standing in its path!) and the cover has a nice velcro seal that makes it easy to put on quickly over a wet umbrella (other umbrellas I have had have been very hard to get back into their covers; no problems with this one). So far, so good. So why only four stars? Two small gripes. The first is that the umbrella is a little heavier than I was expecting, and is a bit too big to fit in a handbag. That may be an acceptable trade-off for an umbrella that is strong and robust. But the second gripe is bigger, and one that over reviewers have also noted - the umbrella is very hard to fold down. You have to push it really quite forcefully, and at a difficult angle, to get the spring mechanism to lock into place. One time I thought I had it but not quite, and it sprung back up, sending the base of the umbrella plunging into my stomach, which really winded me. Without this design flaw I would have given it five stars.

Good sturdy umbrella

Have been a pleasure using it. It seems sturdy & so far with the sydney weather it's still functioning. However the life time warranty wasn't meant for Australia ( only for USA residents in USA) so that was a disappointment.

Ho ricevuto l’ombrello e devo dire che sono davvero felice del mio acquisto. La cosa che mi ha sorpreso di più è il suo sistema di chiusura ed apertura automatica A differenza dei classici ombrelli pieghevoli, che hanno la sola apertura automatica e il pulsante è posto al centro dell’asta( scomodo da raggiungere), questo ombrello Ergonomad ha un comodo pulsante sul manico. Schiacciando il pulsante ,l’ombrello non solo si apre automaticamente e rapidamente, ma si può anche richiudere. Ha una struttura resistentissima; è costruito con sistemi di molle e rivestimenti che lo rendono flessibile e resistente al vento Inoltre nella cupola dell’ombrello ci sono delle “fessurine” disegnate per far passare e scivolare via il vento attraverso l’ombrello senza farlo capovolgere Il manico è super comodo,pesa 395 gr e la sua lunghezza da piegato risulta di soli 32 cm. Ürünü yurt dışı seyahatimde kullanmak istemiştim. İlk günden bozuldu , kapanması ve açılması çok zor. Belki benim şansıma bozuk ürün geldi bilemiyorum, tavsiye etmem.

Estaba buscando un buen paraguas compacto aquí en amazon. Ya que me harté de paraguas de usar y tirar, al final es que no duran nada, se le van las costuras, se doblan las varillas, no aguantan apenas rachas de viento, se abren y cierran mal... un desastre, al final tienes que renovar si o si uno anualmente o incluso antes. Encontré esta maravilla por amazon en oferta (aproximadamente 12 euros). Un paraguas plegable sobrio pero elegante sin que parezca tener grandes pretensiones. Sin embargo, una vez lo tienes en tus manos ya notas la gran diferencia en la calidad de los materiales y en su cómodo diseño donde esta todo pensado. Y si no lo notas a simple vista prueba a coger un paraguas cualquiera en rachas de viento o bajo la lluvia en casa comprueba como esta de mojado, su material de teflón y su sistema de doble techo permite mayor resistencia al viento y que no penetre la humedad. Estaba frito porque lloviera para poder probarlo jaja La funda que tiene dispone de una apertura que se abre y cierra con un velcro lo que permite ponerla y quitarla del paraguas plegado fácilmente sin que tengas que hacer malabares para compactar al máximo tu paraguas para que entre en la funda como con otros. Además dispone de un gancho por si deseas engancharla al cordel del mango del paraguas y no perderla. Respecto a su modo de despliegue, ya hay varios modelos así pero para mi es una novedad, pulsas un botón y tu paraguas abierto y listo para usar. Para recogerlo se pulsa el boton y se cierra, solamente es necesario encogerlo y colocar el cordel. Asimismo su mango ergonomico antideslizante hace su agarre muy agradable y confortable. Lo único que tienes que tener en cuenta es que es un paraguas individual y compacto. Es decir, para dos personas queda justo y tienen que ir pegados (yo hasta lo prefiero, sinceramente me da algo de tirria la gente que se pilla toda la calle con su mega-paraguas sin importarle el resto), y por otro lado es obviamente algo corto (para mi mas manejable pero tendrás que alzar un poquito mas la mano para no tropezar con otros paraguas). Por último, respecto a su transporte y su poco peso permiten una gran versatilidad. No es tan pequeño como los paraguas baratos compactos, pero tiene el tamaño exacto para poder ir en bolsos, mochilas (hasta en los tipicos laterales para botellas) o en cualquier otro lugar con facilidad.
