I'm almost afraid to use them because they are so beautiful to look at, but you WILL use them. They are super-sharp, gliding through meat and vegetables alike as if they weren't there. My only real complaint is that I've since come to find that there are knives of equal quality to be had for less. Honestly, I don't care though. In this case, you're paying for name brand recognition a little bit, but you also get yearly free sharpenings. Overall I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase.
