MÜHLE Safety Razor Blade Guard - Compatible with MÜHLE Open Comb (R41) and Closed Comb (R89) Double Edge Safety Razors

Perfect fit for my Merkur Fatboy. Doesn't touch the blade edges like several leather styles I've tried, completely protecting the blade in transit.

It's expensive for what it is, but if you're looking at this you are paying for some convenience. Works great for my Merkur Model 180, and makes it much easier for me to transport and store the razor.

Description says it fits "MÜHLE Open Comb (R41) and Closed Comb (R89)." I tried it on a variety of OTHER razors to see if it'd fit. It WILL hold a vintage Gillette Tech razor, but the case is large enough to let the Tech head rattle around (hard to keep it on). It holds the Gillette Heritage razor (found on Amazon) perfectly; it should, because the head on that razor is essentially a Muhle R89. It will NOT hold any of the vintage Twist-to-open (aka "Butterfly") Gillette razors like the 1940s Super Speed, Flare Tips, Black Handle, Black Tip, Fat Boy, or Slim. It won't accommodate a Rockwell 6S. Surprisingly, it WILL hold an open comb Wolfman Guerrilla. The cover works as advertised and holds the specific Muhle razor heads listed in the description. I gave it 5 stars because it worked as advertised, but It would have been nice if it was designed to accommodate other common razors as well.

Solid quality and craftsmanship. Nice weight in the hand and it can get close enough to my nose to get a clean shave. A bit of an expense up front but with the savings on the blades it should save money in the long run. Environmentally friendly as no plastic cartridges are going to a landfill.

Safety cover for safety razor!

Made of nothing but plastic. Also fits the razor to tight and you can cut yourself getting it off. Not anywhere near worth the price. Excellent razor and blades though. Buy the stand for the razor.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. But it's a molded piece of plastic... I regret spending $7 on this. It's not worth that.

Fits my razor perfectly. Open on one side and slides across smoothly. Protects my razor and counter from damage. Love the fact that I can set it on the counter without having to worry about my kids touching it.

Bien utile pour ne pas se couper les doigts en prenant son rasoir. Très pratique.

Compatible avec mes 3 rasoirs de marques différentes, il se glisse tout seul sur la tête sans forcer (et s'ajuste pour ne pas sortir tout seul)Il protège la lame sans la toucher. Le plastique semble être comme siliconé, donc n'attache pas les gouttes d'eau ou les restes de mousse ou de gel à raser. Fit perfectly on King C. Gillette safety razor.

Fits perfectly on my Merkur 34C! I got it for £4.95 but I think the people complaining about the price are undervaluing good design! I’d much rather have this than something bulkier, it’s very secure on the razor and does exactly what you want it to.
