I am giving this 5 stars because the quality is top notch. The ONLY gripe I have is the handle. It curves overhead of the pot itself. I understand the reasoning behind it as it is balanced so you can hang the pot over a heat source. However, the handle is in the way when trying to stir or eat directly out of the pot. You “can” turn the handle opposite so it bends outward away from the pot but is lacking the proper grooves to prevent the handle from moving. You could tighten the screw that holds it with a pair of pliers but, why? Other than that minor design flaw, the pot is sturdy and ideal.

This pot is well made (except as others have mentioned, the screw attaching the knob to the lid is welded and seems flimsy) and the design is elegantly simple. We bought this to make turmeric tea at home on our induction stove, though it may end up being used when camping as well. The bottom is not completely flat (most of the center bottom is slightly elevated), but the metal is thick enough that the induction burner heats up the entire bottom anyway, unlike a cheap teakettle made of paper-thin stainless that we'd previously ordered on Amazon with a similar bottom. The fact that the lid covers the entire top of the pot means that it will be easy to scrub out the turmeric, and the handle stays cool as long as the lid is on. Pouring tea is better with the lid off, though.

Great pot for camping have a few

It's a quality product. I ended up giving it to a friend who backpacks more than me. I needed something just a little bit bigger, so weight wasn't an issue. It comes in a nice package with a canvas storage bag.

I read some negative reviews about this little gem and a couple more that explained those negative reviews, were a couple years old and the company had addressed the concerns. So I took a risk and bought this little beauty. It has worked well so far. Open fire, propane, love this little beast. Only negative I have is, and this product is not alone with products sold on Amazon, before you buy, I have yet to find country of origin. Even so, when this beauty was delivered, I can find no where on the packaging or on the product itself, where this was made, where it came from ???????

Arrived fast. Packaged well. My version had its own sturdy zippered case. As listed, stainless steel. Handle looks like the photo -- easy to reach. Appears well constructed.

I like the design of this alot. It's a little different than everything else you see, but probably more functional than some. The handle is very cool when up, hangs very well. Well balance even full of water or what have you. It's useless when turned to the side. However, the way the handle bolts on, you could easily make a straight handle to use in different applications. I guess what I'm saying, VERSATILE! And the bag, it's tall enough to pack other mess item in with it if you choose to do so. Very well thought out product. Update: These two are perfect for each other. Always test your gear at home first right?

Love it. I read some reviews from some earlier models and it looks like Uberleben has figured it all out. The pot, handle and lid are very solid. I was at first concerned the contour of the handle didn’t match the pot for storage. Tried to bend it and soon found out how overbuilt it really was. Not wanting to risk damage to it or myself, I decided to go with it and found it was designed that way for a reason. (No s***) 🤦‍♂️ You can easily hang a loop from the handle and hanging above a fire. It’s also out of the way when stirring. Everything fits in the bag very nicely. The bag is very well-built as well. Looking forward to using this for quit a long time, and passing it along to younger generation down the line.

Lovely kettle to look at and great build quality! The kettle just drips and runs everywhere when pouring!! Very poor design.

新品とあるが、何故か煤が数カ所付いてた。 全体にではなく、洗い残しレベルでぽつぽつと。縁の折り返し部分にも。 届いて食器用洗剤で洗った後気付き、ティシュで吹いたら黒くなった。 海外製品なのでキズなどは気にしてなかったけど、ショップぢゃなく個人の出品だったのかな。 凹みもないしどうせ焚き火に突っ込む物だし面倒だからこのまま使うけどね、気持ち悪いよねー

Great quality … looks really good …. Don’t use over an open fire like I did … wooden lid handle won’t like the heat … but it is perfect to use with gas hiking stove … case is nice too

Design is fantastic. Materials look tough. How long the threaded knob for the handle lasts or goes missing, time will tell. Used it for a 2 night 3 day camp and it worked great over a bushbox and a Trangia so I'm pleased. Canvas bag also a nice touch to keep sooty items off rest of your gear.
