Wrong part
One on the left is what I received. The one on the right was my old one. You can clearly see it wasn't machined correctly for 1998 ram with the vn4500 4x4

Gear WILL NOT FIT SOME MODELS!!
This gear did not fit in my 1994 12 Valve Cummins with NV4500 transmission. Unfortunately my window to return this has closed and I have wasted $50.00 on a gear that will not fit.

Quality Item
This gear has now been in service for over a year with no driveline issues.I recommend deburring the leading edge with fine sandpaper prior to installing to ease the installation.I would buy this item again if needed for another vehicle with the same issue.
