Recommend!!! Amazing little e-reader
I had been hunting for an e-reader that had the capability to use multiple apps for a few months. I didn’t want a regular tablet and I was stuck between this one and the BOOX brand. The meebook was more in my budget range and well worth it for the features which was the ultimate reason chose it. I love it!!!!!! I still have some apps on my phone to use for organizing or searching because while I CAN do that on the reader it’s just a bit slow. The speed of changing pages and apps isn’t bothersome when reading but if I’m trying to reserve a title through my library it frustrates me. I would buy this again if I ever needed. Battery life is phenomenal. I didn’t need to charge it for my entire cruise (though I could have), the various brightness levels are great and I haven’t had an issue with glare, it fits in my purse and is almost exactly the same size as the kindle signature. Kindle cases won’t work but if you use a sleeve for protection it nice to have a reference.

It works with some work
I've been a fan of Kindle since it's inception, I fondly remember meeting up with total strangers to tout how great my original "wedge" was. As I like to say, when you travel you can take thousands of ebooks but they haven't worked out virtual shoes. The M7 is a really good device but not nearly as intuitive as a Kindle. With that said the ability to use other reading apps makes it worth the extra effort.I'm one of those that must have physical page turn buttons so when Amazon killed the Oasis I was quite upset. I originally looked for the Boox Page but the M7 popped up in my search and here we are.It was frustrating trying to find a cover so I improvised with this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DK4P49TT?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 by using a seam ripper to pull out the rubber "holder" and added a couple of command picture strips to keep the M7 in place, it actually works.I would recommend removing all the bloatware and re-download needed apps from your countries Google Play store.

E-Reader that works with Libby
This is my first E-reader. I wanted an E-reader, like Kindle Paperwhite, but I like to read with the Libby App when possible. You can't do that with Kindle Paperwhite.I looked for e-readers that had Google Play (so you can download whatever reading app you want). I narrowed it down to Onyx Boox and this one. There were reviews for the Onyx saying it broke easily. There aren't many reviews for this one, so I don't know if it breaks easily and it's cheaper than Onyx.I worried about the screen size because the tablet I was reading on was 8 inches, but it turned out that the size wasn't a problem. The size is perfect, in my opinion. And it's so light!I really like reading on this vs. a tablet. I love it! It's great! It's a little glitchy and I am sure that there area better quality e-readers out there, but I can read using Libby using this one. So 5 stars.

Does not work properly with the Hoopla app
I already own the Meebook 6 Android e-ink device which I purchased to read my library books borrowed from Hoopla. I do not enjoy reading on tablets, so this seemed like the perfect solution. Hoopla worked well on it. I decided to get this more premium version that was larger and had the page turning buttons. However, to my dismay Hoopla did not function properly on this device. In addition, Hoopla stopped working properly on my Meebook 6 device as well. It will no longer let me download the borrowed book. I wound up returning the Meebook 7 device, disappointed that I couldn't use it for my Hoopla library borrows. Now I only use my Meebook 6 for the NetGalley Reader app (for advance reader copies that I review) or sideloaded book files. I'm posting this review so that people that wanted to use this for Hoopla library borrows will know it doesn't play nice with it.

Lightweight, should have cover for drop protection!
Very good resolution (300 dpi). Real buttons for page turning. I am a fast reader and it refreshes the screen so I don't feel slowed down. Bluetooth audio works! Audible or Smart Audio Player or MP3 music work.

Expansion slot just doesn't work at all. Beware.
The onboard memory was too small for what I wanted the device for, so I got a 1 TB micro-SD card to try to make it useful. However, the slot is so badly engineered that there was no way to get the card to seat correctly. You could get it to engage the ejection spring, but the only way to get the card into the device (as it was sticking out several mm when encountering the spring) caused it to jump the rails and get stuck deeper and deeper into the device. I had dremel it open to extract the card, and at least hopefully salvage THAT investment.Luckily, once cut open, I could see that the card slot wasn't at all aligned with the external slot, and the card was getting stuck in top of that metal panel. With some more tweaking, I was able to fit the card where it belongs (and the orientation is not what you would expect), and it's working. I'll use some epoxy putty or something to seal the wound, and have the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy that I wanted. But I had to earn it.

Great for web browsing
I really wanted a device to web browse at night before bed without having to use my smartphone or computer and having excessive bluelight before bed. This device runs on Android so you can download whatever apps you want from the Play Store (I use Brave Browser). There's various refresh modes you can try that allow for different types of browsing you'd like to do (faster scrolling, but with ghosting, to slower scrolling but minimal to no ghosting). Probably the best tablet you can use for web browsing I've seen (as long as you're okay with no color).

Dead pixel
Perfect size and useful interface\speed, battery life is great. First one I ordered came with a line of dead pixels. Returned for another and have had no issues since.
