Five stars because the birds have stopped their headfirst actions into my patio door. Yay! It's so horrible when it was happening. They still almost do sometimes but they stop when notice the strips of this tape. It's very easy to put on and take off. The only thing is it isn't as invisible as the ad states. However, I would have rather have the birds, healthy and unharmed than have perfect vision of them. Those who complain about that in other revies are being very selfish. Birds don't need us to feed them. As a matter fact, feeding might do a little more damage to them than we know. We feed them for our own enjoyment. So we should take care of them and thats why I put up this tape & that's why I also decided to put Harvey's Fabulous finch food in the small two tiered feeder you'll see on the patio, should you watch the video. Harve's seed is on the top shelf. I just put it out today. For the first time. They were a little resistant to try it, but now they seem to be liking it. I actually had a a mourning Dove get in there and take almost all of it this morning. The goldfinch are starting to really love it. The house finch are a little slower at risk taking something new. Ha ha ha I'm glad I bought this tape. Just in case you would be interested, the window faces the south. It is 3 o'clock in the afternoon in Los Angeles, California.

Update: On my window glass a year! Cleaned the window glass each month- until October- Stayed on. No Bird Hits. Went through a cold, heavy snow winter from November through March- stayed on & to this day, looks like the day I put it on! (March & April was a lot of strong winds & rain- stayed on, no gaps in adhesive & NO BIRD HITS. And my cats have learned to look between the strips like I did! Works as Described. Placed on glass June 11 2025. Cleaned glass using squeegee and allowed glass & trim around glass to thoroughly dry. I took my time & placed a piece of 4” cardboard taped to inside window, one on top & bottom of each pane to get the distance & straightness correct. Remeasuring from edge of tape & moving cardboard pieces for each strip. I did the top window pane 1st & this procedure was done again for bottom pane & tape strips lined up perfectly. Easy to put on straight, had to reposition 1 strip slightly; easily done, no difference in sticking from others. I ordered 2-20ft rolls. One double hung window (2 panes of glass; top glass was 1” shorter than bottom pane, don’t cut all strips for both panes at once🫤), used 1 roll & cut 2-32” strips off 2nd roll. I made each strip 1/2” longer & was able to pull vinyl edge at bottom of glass slightly out to slide down into it. I measured from each outer edge of glass pane 4”, 3 strips on each side, allowing center where birds hit the most frequent, 2” apart. Looking between strips was a “taught technique” to watch birds but does not really interfere once learning how to adjust. No Hits since placing…Bird Safety Accomplished! Home surrounded by 4 feeders in yard- tons of birds Will see how well they hold up after a normal cold & snowy winter. Claim last 10 yrs. If they hold up 5 yrs with our weather, I’ll feel price & My application time was worth it. 1st 2 pictures are from Inside, last 3-Outside.

So we had doves flying into our windows. Hard, like leaving foot wide bird prints. We got this stuff. Cleaned the windows. My mate made a cardboard spacer to set it up. Pro tip: Find the middle of your window and work outward if you want symmetric stripes. The effect on the windows is subtle but definitely visible. Kinda like etched stripes on the glass. We set the stripes up at 4 inches. Used about a roll a window. The windows with screens don't get hit so we just did the bare picture window, and the side of the sliding glass door that is not covered by the screen door. Seems to have stopped the doves from crashing into it. So I can say it works. However... Maybe we needed to put the strips closer together because a little finch broke its neck yesterday flying into the window during a ruckus at the bird seed feeder. It tried to fly between the stripes on the window. :( So maybe we needed stripes two inches instead of 4. If so then you will like need two rolls for a slider or picture window.

Since I put this tape on my big front window not one bird has flown into it ! And it's been a couple of months now. Easier to apply than large sheets of something. I spaced it 2 " apart and made it even by just using 2 " painters tape then placing the collidescape along side of it. Definitely works best when wet. I just used a spray bottle of water while doing it. Not cheap, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend this product

Did not work. Installed it a year ago as advised and it took 3 boxes of it. Now I’m having fun getting the heavy residue off. None of these sticker things work for me in my large east facing windows. I am now installing DIY window screen fabric 4 inches away from the window so they would bounce off if they hit it. Works great.

No bird strikes since installing. Easy to apply & realign if needed. One 3/4” x 20’ roll covered a 27” x 65” French Door (this is the one that the birds typically collided into). The tape, while visible, doesn’t impede the view outside. I supplemented with reflective cling prisms (another Amazon purchase) which also help prevent strikes and cast beautiful rainbows when the sun shines. I’m going to gift several rolls to my bird loving friends and family as stocking stuffers.

9 out of 10 birds agree: it avoids collisions into my picture window. The 10th bird was believed to be a hawk and it flew away. The strips are a nice thickness and don’t rip. They have to be cut. I measured my window and made small marks on the upper and lower frame to line the strips up evenly. I tried using a dry erase marker right on the glass but should have closed the curtains to see them better. LOL I haven’t washed the window yet, so I’m not sure on the cleaning of them. The finished look took some getting used to since they are not invisible. The cost was pricey but since they are stopping the birds and saving lives, it was worth it.

I’ve had this stuff on my home’s windows since 2021 and I haven’t had any bird strikes on the windows with it. I had at least one strike a year before applying it. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t ruin my riparian views, and has stayed on perfectly despite being subjected to wind, ice, and snow. Absolutely recommend.

I was ripped off over $100. as they sent 3 rolls, and only 1 roll was complete. The other rolls were only paper tape and no plastic birdtape attached!! The company will not honour and send replacement tapes and no help. DO NOT ORDER FROM CAKARSTORE. BAD SHOP. This tape works excellent but buy from JOURY CANADA only. i ordered from Joury and they are great.

It's worth pointing out a few things - first, this needs to go on the outside of the window, bear that in mind. Second, it's not invisible, not even close. Third, you don't need to buy loads of this and space it a few inches apart like it recommends, we've put our lines about a foot apart and it has completely eliminated birds flying into the window. The tape has held up, even with regular window washjng, with no sign of peeling, even after a year

I've been trying to come up with a solution for bird collisions but this isn't it. I'm sure it's effective I just don't like the aesthetic. Even measuring and being careful it's impossible to get these perfectly straight so if it's a room you use a lot you'll see it every time you look out. It also gives the impression of bars on the window more than I'd hoped it would which changes the ambiance of the room. If it's for shed windows or somewhere you don't spend a lot of time then it's probably fine but I can't stand how it looks.
