It made planting faster, easier, and a lot less annoying. The holes were clean, consistent, and ready to go in seconds. This thing works great, and fast. I used to have a longer one, smaller diameter. My drill eventually "stripped the threads" on it, right in the middle of planting season this year. Grrr. Couldn't find one locally at Lowes, ordered this. It's pretty fast, does fling dirt in all directions. You can make a pretty wide hole pretty quick. If I have to replace this one, I'll get one that is longer...
