The media could not be loaded.  I recently got a job that is work from home and the only place I was able to set up my office was in our second bedroom. This bedroom is carpet and I have a large desk that I really needed to be able to swivel and move side to side to get to the multiple monitors on my desk. I work from home for more than 40 hours a week and my chair always gets stuck on the carpet. It was so frustrating until I found this chair mat for the carpet. This mat is thick and durable, made of premium PVC material, which prevents cracking or any overall wear and tear, this is very durable and reliable for long-term use. There are small studs on the underside of the mat that holds it firmly in place on carpet floors! This makes it a lot easier day to day now that I can move around freely without getting stuck. The mat is also eco-friendly, odorless, free from BPA-free! The mat is highly transparent, and you can see the carpet through it im super happy with the color of the mat. Cleaning is easy with this matt and its super simple to clean I just use a wet rag or cloth. I highly recommend this mat to anyone who works from home and is looking for a solution to their chair getting stuck on the carpet it's very durable and looks great in my office!

While there are many 36x48 mats out there, I need something slightly smaller and this fits great for a small home office. The size is as described and I measured exactly 30 inch wide. It takes a few hours to spread and flatten itself once you unroll it.

The product is sturdy and performs well so all in all it is good, Perfect size and great material. I highly recommend it.

didnt stay in place on the carpet

I work from home and my office at home is a spare bedroom with carpeted floor. I had a chair mat that worked well except that it was only 29 inches wide which is barely wider than the wheels on my chair. When I saw this one which is 36 inches wide I figured I'd try it out.It arrived on a very hot day and sat in the box in the driveway for a couple hours before I retrieved it. It comes rolled up in a box which I opened immediately. It was extremely soft from sitting in the heat and unrolled very easily. It also had an extremely strong unpleasant plastic smell. The smell was so strong that I knew I wouldn't be able to use it until the smell subsided. Therefore I put it in another spare bedroom for a couple weeks. The smell gradually faded and I finally moved it into my office.The carpeting in my office is what I would consider a medium pile and the chair mat is so soft that the wheels sink into the mat and makes it difficult to move the chair. The mat still has a faint smell too. Hopefully the smell will go away completely some day, but I would definitely not recommend this for any carpet other than very low pile carpet.

I am using this chair mat as I type this. It is staying perfectly in place on my carpet, which is low pile but definitely not a flat weave or berber. I am replacing a mat I've had for a number of years (long enough that I don't remember how long) that was splitting and not staying in place. So this is an upgrade as far as I'm concerned.It is a nice heavy mat that is transparent. Measure the space because it is important that it fit in your space. Mine comes just up to a piece of furniture. Any longer would have been a problem. So MEASURE.Although the mat came rolled up and fastened in that roll, It unfolded and laid flat almost immediately. I still put some weight on it to keep it that way, but I could have put it in place the day I received it.I couldn't possibly do that, however, because this mat had a very very strong smell that was not pleasant at all. I did not want it in the house, let alone under me at the desk where I would be working. I put it outside for 2 days, after which it still smells a bit but it is now at least tolerable.I can't speak to durability.Since these mats are incredibly overpriced (IMO) in stores, I think it is a good deal.

The mat arrives rolled up in a box - requiring you to snip the plastic wrapping and work to unroll it. Funny as it sounds, it took a bit of effort to unroll and keep it flat. It kept wanting to spring back to its rolled up state.After a few hours it was fine and I moved it into position in the office. I thought I had a low pile carpet but this mat is a bit "soft" and even my resting chair (with no one in it) will dimple the mat. Obviously, same goes for me when I sit on it - except the dimples are deeper! This is probably because my low carpet is still too high/plush for this mat. So, I have to be very conscious to move my chair around throughout the day so I don't stay too long in one spot. This also affects moving around on the mat since your chair wheel has a tendency to fall into a dimple if you aren't watching.(Dimples mostly go away on their own - but not completely. At least not so far for me.)I fear the mat material is soft enough that I'm going to damage it (maybe dimple it beyond repair?) in short order. We'll see… I really wish this seller gave more advice for what type of carpet this mat is actually good for. I'm afraid my carpet is not.The grip of the mat is good and the 36x48 size is great to accommodate some movement throughout the day. I hope the material holds up but it will likely depend on how long I can keep remembering to move my chair around. Keeping my fingers crossed that it lasts. Just make sure your carpet is nearly flat if you want to get the most mileage from this mat.
