Just a bit under one yard (36") - actual length per the Tote site is 33.9". The umbrella feels solid when held.

This umbrella is fire resistant.

Truthfully I never really heard of fire resistant umbrellas!!! This umbrella however is quite lovely and I enjoy it and get many compliments!!
