Used for baseball and they have a little compression to the point where they won’t slip down, but they are super soft.

We got these for a Pink Out softball tournament, they were a huge hit.. The girls thought they were very comfortable, they washed up even better, the girls wear them to practice & they are still great.. Will be getting more colors for next season!!

I ordered these for my teenager for soccer season, he goes through socks like crazy and thought I'd give these a try. They are pretty good quality, fit nicely and comfortably on him. The seam on the toes is nice and does not bother him, which is something he has complained about on other athletic socks before. I think the fabric is not as soft or absorbent as I would like, but for socks that he has to wear with shin guards for a couple of hours it isn't a big deal. Good price, good quality socks!

My son uses these for soccer. He likes them and finds them comfortable to wear with cleats. They have washed well and have held up during this season.

Our high school freshman plays coed rec plus soccer. The league has home and away uniforms, which means that our family hasn't had to purchase new unis for some time. But you can never have enough black socks, especially on weeks with multiple practices and games.At about $5 per socks, these are a great value. They fit as expected and more importantly, not only do they stay in place, they keep his slip in shin guards from getting out of wack. He has worn them to both practice and game days. Our league does not allow slide tackles, so your experience might be different if they are allowed in your league play. Even though he occasionally plays goalie and is allowed to slide, his socks appeared to maintain their position during these opportunities.One last thing to note, they are thin, which our son appreciates, because he tends to prefer tight-fitting cleats. Plus, the majority of his playing season is during warmer weather, so the thinness is preferable during this play as well. More importantly, they (knock on wood) have not worn differently than thick socks he has, and oddly these are just as comfortable. With that said, when he plays in cold weather, we will need to have him store these until next session.

My son wears these for baseball and they are the perfect length and thickness. These help protect, too, from the elastic in the bottom of his knickers, which usually bothers him. Note, the yellow was a little more of a "mustard" than the gold typically in uniforms/jerseys, but overall it looked fine.
