These work just as you would think they would. They fit on the typical sized hose and make a quick release female/male system. We use this in order to disconnect the hose where the mower would otherwise travel overtop of the hose (which travels through the grass to get to a garden bed in the middle of the yard. Don’t judge - it gets more sun there!) This particular set doesn’t leak, although I’ve bought some in the past that do. Stay shiny and rust free despite being outside all season in all the elements.
