Best soft-sided cage I could find (& I looked at many) for a cat recovering from surgery! When my senior cat had to wear a cone & be contained for a month following a major surgery, this tent-like cage served as a cozy yet sturdy cage for his recovery. It’s so roomy that I could easily fit a bed, large stuffed animal (for comfort), & a soft bath mat in the main compartment, with plenty of room for him to sleep, eat, & even play. I couldn’t believe how roomy & sturdy it was. The smaller tent fits a full size litter box that my chonky boy had plenty of room to stand up in & scratch around in while using the box. The litter box section has a special opening for easy cleaning! There’s a short tunnel that connects the 2 compartments & it’s wide enough to accommodate a cone. While his recovery was not easy, he really seemed to feel safe & cozy in his little tent. Now that his recovery is over, he still likes to sleep in it. I guess it made him feel safe during a traumatic time. It’s sturdy (just be sure to trim their claws as they will try to scratch their way out at first, although the mesh seems very sturdy & held up well) & also very easy to assemble (2 small discs that pop open to full size tents, then you zipper them together). Other reviews comment how difficult it is to squash it back down to put away for storage…I haven’t tried this yet but it does seem like it will be harder to put away than it was to assemble. But for an emergency medical situation, the ease of assembly was more important to me than dealing with putting it away later. The zippers are very sturdy (I can’t even tell you how many times I must have opened & closed them over the last month & they never jammed). It’s overall very secure & my kitty was not able to escape (except for one time when I accidentally left one part of the main flap open when cleaning his litter box, which was my fault & not a flaw in the design). I honestly can’t recommend this cage enough. It got me & my baby safely through a very difficult time. I even sent the link to the surgeon so they can recommend to others. As for keeping clean, be proactive & put wee wee pads on the floor of both compartments before you put in the bed, blankets, litter box, food dish, etc…just for your peace of mind in case of spillage or accidents. I put pads underneath both tents as well, just for an added layer of protection. Litter will be scattered during normal use, but can be swept up or vacuumed. Great product that really did everything I needed it to do in a very challenging situation.

Made surprisingly well. Heavy material and zippers that should hold up over time. Ingenious smaller area that zips on for litter box. Like most “poppables” it pops open easily but takes some work to twist and fold. Our cat (11 lbs) did well with it. Put her blanket, toys and food in larger tent area and her box in the smaller one. It is larger than I expected which is nice. It is nice looking. Appreciate the abundance of screened area. If you’re looking for a playpen I think you’d be happy with this.

When my cat Ashley got extremely sick, my biggest concern was keeping her safe and stress-free while she recovered. At the same time, we had just rescued Paulie a stray cat, so separating them was absolutely necessary for health and adjustment reasons. Ashley took to it immediately and even started napping inside, which told me everything I needed to know about how comfortable she felt. ❤️ The material feels durable, the zippers are strong, and after using it for several months I haven't had any issues. I also like that it's foldable, so I can see myself using it for travel or emergencies in the future. Overall, this wasn't just a purchase for me — it was part of taking care of two cats that really needed stability and safety. If you're someone who rescues animals or has to manage multiple cats safely, I highly recommend it. It gave me peace of mind during a difficult time. 🐾

This was fantastic! I rescued 4 feral kittens from my window well and needed a place to house them that contained their mess while I waited for a foster or adopter for them. Originally I put their litter pan in the small section but soon learned they liked so sleep there. So I put a blanket in the small section and their litter pan and food/water in the big section. Being that they were only about 4.5 weeks old, it was plenty big. They climbed the mesh and it held up perfectly over a week’s worth of murder mitten assault. It was nice having three different access points to unzip to clean things or refresh the food and water bowls. I also liked the Velcro for rolling up the one mesh side which allowed them the ability to explore outside the tent but then retreat if needed. Once they were safely with their new families/fosters I took it out to the driveway and hosed it down with water and some bleach. Poop stains came right out. The fabric dried fast in the sun and it was easy to collapse and put in storage for the next group of babies I may find. It’s worth every dollar in my opinion!

Absolutely love this enclosure for my kitten initially for after surgery but left up for every day and containment when needed. Kitten goes in when she wants if it’s open and doesn’t mind being confined when I zip it up. My only complaint is that when I first got it about two weeks after I needed to transport it to my parents to cat sit over a weekend. I was unable to fully fold it back to its original folded shape but it was good enough. About two months later tried to fold up to transport again and no go. I even took pictures of the first time I folded it so I could recreate it but did not work and I ended up breaking one of the supports so now it’s a little wonky. I admit it may be operator error but I tend to do well with these types of foldable products. Despite this, I do not regret my purchase at all and will likely buy it again when that time comes.

This portable Cat playpen is perfect! I love it! It is well constructed and good quality materials. As you can see in the pictures it is large enough to hold a small dog bed and small water and food dishes. I recently had my cat spayed and it worked fantastic in keeping her contained and giving her a spacious and comfortable place to recover. The area designed for the litter box holds a small litter box and it worked well for my cat. I love how the litter box is separate from the main part of the playpen. It also unzips and detaches for cleaning as well as has upper and lower zippers on the front of it for easy access to the litter box for cleaning. There are several zipped access to the playpen making just access to the cat or cleaning a breeze. And best of all, when you don't need to use it, it folds up nice and compact. It would be perfect for travel if you had to take your pet along. I would highly recommend this product! It

Perfect! My senior cat who had surgery needed to be kept from jumping, and this crate is perfect for that. He's a large cat (17 lbs), and there is plenty of room for him to move around, pick a different spot to sleep, and the separate litter box area is great. The tunnel between the main area and the litter area is wide enough for his e-collar not to catch or be a hindrance, which was one of my main concerns. It's no problem at all. The access points for both the litter area and the main are great. I can reach in from the top to change out his bedding and give him pets, and the front opening is great to access him for cuddles, checking on his surgery site, and administer his meds. Really ideal setup. Plenty of room for his bedding, plus food and water, etc.

This playpen was a game changer for me. When I had my hyperactive kitten spayed, I thought there would be no way to slow her down after the surgery, but I took a chance on this playpen and it worked beyond my wildest dreams. My cat wasn't thrilled initially. She spent the first 2 hours testing every seam and every zipper, but they held up beautifully despite her unrelenting bombardment. After that, she settled down and decided this was home. I kept her in it for 48 hours and when I unzipped one side and told her she could come and play with me, she just snuggled deeper into her bed and stayed inside. She loves this thing now. It was a breeze to set up even for an old lady like me, and I could put her bed and favorite blanket and food and water bowls on the larger side and her litter box in the smaller one. The only problem I've had is that the area for the litter box is small, and I got a small, lightweight tray for the area. When she was initially trying to get out, the cat tried standing on it, and tipped out a good portion of the litter. Certainly not the fault of this playpen, but a small problem for me. I couldn't have found a better solution to my cat's recovery.

My cat broke a bone in her paw and needed a splint with cast (and a cone). I thought I'd try and let her roam freely around my condo since she was already miserable enough. But she wouldn't stop jumping onto high surfaces, and I was worried she was going to further hurt herself. I bought this playpen over others because it has the separate attachment for the litter box. It's worked great so far. My cat has calmed down a lot and will actually rest now. The playpen was easy to set up (it literally unfolded itself) and the zippers are conveniently placed for giving her new food, water, and litter. I'm confident I can fold it up for storage once I no longer need it anymore.

My cat broke his leg and needs to avoid jumping while his leg heals. It’s been 3 months already and this ‘cubby house/tent’ has been his new home and he loooves it! It’s very durable and easy to clean and move around. We ended up buying 1 more and my other cat and dog both love it too! Both my cats are able to sleep in 1 cubby house at night with the kitty litter box inside. It’s absolutely purrfect!

I am really happy with this playpen, perfect for my cats while travelling in the van. 4 stars as there are no instructions on how to collapse it back into a circle, although I did manage to get it to fold up :-).
