they aren't an airtight seal if you wanted to preserve something.

They worked
Bought these for a food even. They worked great. They have a bottom piece, middle ring piece with the peel back lid and a plastic lid to use for resealing. There were a couple with dents but not too bad. They still worked. They are more of a novelty, not sure that they would be made for storing food long term.
