Super Simple Physics Revision Cards Key Stages 3 and 4 : DK: desertcart.in: Books Review: Inside the box are 125 cards, 122 of which have a brief yet comprehensive description of one particular aspect of physics as studied in Key Stages two and three. This is quite a big subject and the cards cover not just laws and principles, but also practical aspects and overlaps in other fields. For example, when seismic waves are used in Earth sciences to determine the internal structure of the planet. The cards are separated into varying subjects within physics and displayed as a list on two contents cards. The cards themselves are presented with the key information summarised in a list with clear, colourful accompanying diagrams, illustrations and photographs. These aren’t intended to be used as a primary education tool, but rather as a tool to help reinforce what is being taught in school. They may actually be of some help to OU students on access courses or even the auto-didact looking to refresh their knowledge. The cards are of good quality and if you have more than one child, would survive multiple handlings down. Review: Without a book that would explain everything thoroughly, these cards appear to be extremely random. These are great cards, don't get me wrong. But there has to be a book that would explain ALL of the topics covered in the cards systematically and in great detail. Or else these cards come across as way too random, like a quiz show and I doubt there will be many children at this age who would answer these on a Sunday evening, without any notice. However, these cards might be used as a base for a project/research type of learning. But this means a more time-consuming approach and a lot of work on behalf of the educator as you would, first, have to look through the cards and organise them by topics yourself. And what if you are not all that good at that? Means, you have to do your research first, then your child has to look up all those things separately and, on top of it, it may also derail them off the subject altogether since the research will result in finding more things that are strictly necessary to prepare for this quiz. So beware - this is, literally, the top of the well of knowledge. So, if anyone of the production team are reading this, I suggest you produce a set - a book and then these cards. I guess it will potentially attract many more potential buyers as not everyone is ready to take risks of buying a game that might be chucked aside as something 'too much' by the target audience. This addition of a book could potentially attract a wider range of readers, too, as younger learners could cover the book and do the quiz later, as part of revision, in a more 'senior' year.

I’m not up to date on GCSEs or whether these are current but as someone who studied Physics nearly 40 years ago these seem to be really good. The idea is you read the card, cover it up and make as many notes based on what you read as you can. You then uncover the card and see how much you got right. Each card is double sided and they cover 250 subjects in total. They’re handy revision guides and also interesting for anyone who has forgotten a lot of what they learned years ago - one of them does show the wiring of a plug, something I was taught to do long before I was 16 but a useful life skill at the time. Not needed so much nowadays. Good quality and a huge selection of content. Definitely worth the money.

These are good quality cards, double sided so two summary revision key point guides on each one. They're not question/answer cards but if you help whoever is revising you can create your own question & answer session from each subject. My daughter is well into GCSEs at the moment, and from what we can tell at the moment these cards will likely prove very useful given the wide range of key points they cover.

This is a pack of physics revision cards for Key Stages 3 and 4. Things I liked: • super handy size • bitesize key facts • crystal clear diagrams • fun revision cards Overall, I wished I had this study companion aid when I was a child. This is recommended for your child (and adults helping out their kids).
