Getting great results and really quickly after tilling the ground and adding soil on top and daily watering on ground that was bald. Keep the stalks cut for a few weeks when the grow and you will get lovely grass in. Thick, beautiful green super easy to root and grow. Great value with lots of seed. Very happy.

I recently had a quarter acre of land cleared for my sister to move a camper onto. Let me say first that I know nothing about grass seed. The man that cleared my land told me to look for winter ryegrass. This stuff is great! The area we live in gets quite a bit of rain, and we would sprinkle this the day before a good rain and let mother nature do the rest. Within a few days, patches of grass started growing. Several rains later, the grass was everywhere. It's thick and a very pretty green. Out of the 25 pound bag, we still have about 5 pounds of it left, and will use that to sprinkle around other bare spots of the property.

Planted this seed along with a mix of tall fescue seed under several heavy shaded areas in my yard I planted it in the fall with some fertilizer it sprang up quickly and looked awesome all winter and into early spring. However it’s fading somewhat in the hot summer in Oklahoma so I’m only mowing it every couple of weeks and on the highest setting on the mower to help keep the stress down I have a very large yard so I depend on rain rather than watering it myself come fall I’ll reseed it again to thicken it even more so i will purchase again

Alright, here’s exactly how I used this and got crazy fast results. First, prep the soil. This part is key. I loosened everything up, broke up any hard spots, and really stimulated the soil so it could absorb the seed and water properly. If the ground is compact, the grass won’t come in right. Next, spread the grass seed evenly across the area. You want good coverage here. Honestly, the more you put down, the better if you’re going for that thick carpet look. Just make sure it’s still spread evenly so you don’t end up with patchy spots. Then water it in really well. Not just a light spray, actually soak it so the seeds settle into the soil. After that, keep it consistently moist every day. Now the best part. I started seeing grass growing in just 2 days, which is super fast. By day 4, it was fully grown in, thick, and green. That’s it. Prep the soil right, spread it evenly, go a little heavier for thickness, and keep it watered. This stuff takes off fast.

Grew very quickly. Not as pretty as other grasses but it’s a winter rye and was used as a fill in grass . It’s fine for its application.

Great product but as the bag says, the seeds are annual. So they will only last one long season till a drought hits. But the grass comes up fast & beautifully green!

Only about 50% came up

The plastic bag that this seed is put in is the cheapest, thinnest thing I ever saw. I scissor cut the top of the bag to hand seed a small area and as soon as I got to the lawn the bag split the entire length of the bag. All the seed came out onto the lawn. It was raining hard at the time, so all that seed got wet making it useless. The bag tears like actual paper.
