The machine itself is good and sturdy but the supply of new sleevesIs a bit strange they seem to only be available in sets of 6, 2 of which are to large in diameter and they are the wrong length

At first getting out of the box a good quality machine. Feels good in your hands, handy being able to adjust the speed and your able to clamp to a workbench. The thing that let it down is that, despite extensive research, I was totally unable to find anyone selling replacement sleeves for this item! So before using, I bit the bullet and exchanged through Amazon for the next size up the Triton TSPS 450.

Can’t trust a tool that’s clearly been previously extensively used. I’m sure the tool is usually very good but Amazon selling it as new is utterly shameful.

I thought it my duty to inform you fine people of Amazon a slight issue with this lovely spindle sander.Triton and for that matter no one make replacement sanding sleeves. Once you have used the ones that come with the tool you are pretty much buggered!Possible fixes I have searched are Silverline do make some but only in 19mm and 38mm in diameter by 70mm in length. One possible solution and the option I have gone for is to buy the140mm long sleeves and cut them in half and you can get the full range of diameters in the 140mm long sleeves.

War aufgrund der Kompaktheit gegenüber dem großen Stationärgerät sofort begeistert, auch wg. meinem Haupteinsatzzweck im Modellbau. Vor kurzem hatte ich den idealen Einsatz (Farbnasenentfernung von Multiplex-Kanten 15mm) und schliff munter drauf los, leider mit einer sehr bösen Überraschung: Bereits nach ca. 20min. Schleifdauer ist die Oszillationsfunktion defekt und die Walze rotiert nur noch!Da die Garantie schon länger abgelaufen ist, prüfte ich die Oszillations-Mechanik, welche (obwohl blitzblank sauber, ohne irgendeine Staubanhaftungen) sehr schwergängig ist. Nach leichtem schmieren u. korrektem Zusammenbau war die Funktion wieder gegeben - für weitere 5 Minuten!Kundendienst ist kontaktiert, es erfolgte auch bereits 2min. später eine automatisierte Bestätigung. Warte nun auf weiterführende Antwort zur Problemlösung, u.a. Angabe einer Serviceadresse!Ist nach dem kleinen u. kompakten Bandschleifer mein 2. Gerät von Triton - allerdings kann ich (bisher!) leider keine Empfehlung für diese Maschine aussprechen! Mal sehen, ob es der Kundendienst rausreissen wird? Fortsetzung folgt!EDIT 02/2024: Nach gefühlt wochenlanger und zig-facher E-Mail-Korrespondenz (in recht passablen und verständlichen deutsch) mit dem Hersteller-Support, wurde von diesem tatsächlich eine vollständige Rückerstattung veranlaßt, da eine Reparatur (lt. Kundendienst) nur in England möglich sei. Das ist m.E. ein sehr fairer, verantwortungsvoller und anständiger Zug von Triton, zumal der reguläre Zeitraum von Gewährleistungsansprüchen eigentlich bereits abgelaufen war!Zwar bin ich leider von der Maschine enttäuscht, bzw. von der nicht gegebenen Reparatur-Option, dafür ist hingegen der Support (wenn auch etwas "behäbig & schwerfällig" --> evtl. wg. Sprachbarriere?) trotz langwierigem Mailverkehr, an einer zufriedenstellenden Lösung orientiert! Deswegen 2 Sterne aufgrund der kulanten Vorgehensweise mehr und im Ganzen eben 1 Stern Abzug, wg. der Geräte-Fehlfunktion!
