The media could not be loaded.  Does anyone else remember being hit over the hands with a hockey stick when playing field hockey at school, when your hands were already numb with cold?This field hockey glove, prevents all that suffering. The glove keeps your hand warm, gives you an excellent grip and provides good solid protection where you need it.It is simple to get on and off and has an easy to fasten Velcro closure.It has a feel of good quality, and in my opinion, I would say the price is fair.Suitable for both novice and more professional players alike, I would say they are a good choice.I hope you find my review helpful.

This hockey glove offers decent protection for the left hand. The glove has a hard plastic shield protecting the top of the hand and knuckles, which is shaped for a comfortable fit, and also offers protection for the thumb.It is open palmed which gives a better feel on the stick.The only downside is the sizing, I ordered a medium for my 14 year old son, but it was too small and even the large is a tight fit and is a bit of an effort to get on, certainly wouldn’t want to be taking it on and off during a game, would take too long.

I am very pleased with this hockey glove. I was also impressed that it came in its own branded box, which would make it perfect as a gift.It has an excellent design and very strong reinforced padding on the back of your hand and knuckles, which moulds to the shape of your hand. This is where you need it the most. There is also thick foam padding to the sides of the reinforced pad and along the fingers, meaning your whole hand is protected.The design of the glove means that your palm is open so that you can easily grip the stick, allowing you to play without any restrictions from the glove.This glove is for a family member who plays hockey a few times a week in her University club, and this will give her the protection she needs.I wish I had had one of these when playing hockey at school – the agony of a hockey stick hitting my knuckles is still a very painful memory!I think the price is reasonable (currently £29.99) given the quality and design of the glove.

This is a good fit on my 11 year old, it's comfortable to wear and offers good protection to the vulnerable back of the hand from sticks and balls. The open palm means the grip is still good and it can be worn with warm gloves if needed on cold days.

It is a good size and it is very hard and sturdy so your hand doesn’t hurt if hit.

A good all-around glove, suitable for hockey.It's a bit tight - fitting into it and off.the edges around the thumb hole started to peel off a little.

Y1 hockey gear is excellent - end of story - we have their sticks and they are brilliant so we are already fans of the quality and this glove is no different. Superbly well made, nicely presented in a brown box (ideal as a super gift) but my only slight moan is that its difficult to choose the right size as there wasn't much info that I can see on the Amazon sales blurb. These are kids gloves (as per description) and usually I'd order an XL for my 14 year old son and a medium for my 12 year old son ..... this glove fits my 14 year old perfectly and whilst it works for my younger son its a bit flappy around the fingers. So do bear that in mind. It also fits me perfectly and I have medium sized female hands. (M in marigold washing up gloves !). But giving five stars as ultimately they are a brilliant hockey glove - you get what you pay for and this is worth every penny.

I got this hockey glove for my hockey loving nephews. At 21 and 24 my nephews are far from small (I ask them how the weather is up where they are) and there is no sizing information in the listing, so got a large. The glove was about right for the 21 year old but on the small size for my older nephew, which was not a total surprise given he is also a stockier build. The glove does give a good level of protection to your hand, including the thumb. They liked the open palm as they could still feel the hockey stick and know they had a good grip on it.
