I needed a splitter for my wireless mic to work with my MacBook Air. I teach a virtual fitness class and my class was having a hard time hearing me over the music. This product provides the interface for my wireless mic and is more flexible than the USB rigid splitter I initial purchased. This review is probably as much about me rather than the item itself. I bought this for making video content with my phone. I was unable to make it work when I bought it and frankly put it on a shelf and forgot about it. However, with some free time available I decided to try again to connect my Galaxy 21+ and various mics, like my Movo shotgun mic. What I figured out is this splitter works but there's a couple of things you need to know.First, it connects using TRS-to-TRS cables. I'm not going to provide a tutorial on cables but trust me on this. This means it will connect virtually all mics to your phone with the proper connection.Second, this splitter is designed to do one thing at a time, at least that's how I use it. If you need to use wired headphones/earbuds simultaneously with a microphone, it will work but it's not how I use it--too many dangling cables.So, to record with a video:--Plug the USB-C into your phone and the mic to the mic jack via a TRS cable. Set your camera app to record via USB/external if that's an option. My apps (FilmicPro & Samsung Camera app) do this automatically. Record your video.--Now, if you playback the video you won't hear anything through the phone speakers *until you unplug the USB-C from your phone* or you use wired headphones. The phone assumes you're listening via headphones as long as the splitter is plugged in whether they're plugged in or not. This is the situation I ran into, and I assumed it wasn't recording when in fact it was. This was a face palm moment for me.Having solved this mystery, the splitter works as advertised and I can finally say it's a good deal for multitasking with a USB-C phone connections.

Works perfect! On MacBook Pro. Headphones and microphones work at both times. Zoom recognizes them as separate input sources. Thanks for a great product!

I bought a macbook pro and wanted to use it for music, only problem is well there was no mic connector. I ended up buying this splitter and it works great so far. Both mic and headphones have had no issues so far. This is a great buy for a starter, as i eventually hope to buy a better set up but for a starter or even a gamer this will work great. 4/5 as it has been only a short time, and some reviews said it might stop working. I will try to update in a month.
