CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Carpet + Upholstery Spot Cleaner Machine | Includes Specialized Tools, Permanent Stain Remover, Pair with Hoover Portable Spot Cleaner Solution

We purchased this to clean a sticky, greasy spill from the back seat of our car. It worked GREAT! It came with two bottles of cleaning solution and we weren't sure how much solution we'd go through so we used an entire bottle to fill the entire reservoir with water and cleaner (the lines on the reservoir are very helpful.) We were very surprised to see that it didn't use much solution to get the job done. You have to use quite a bit of elbow grease to get the maximum amount of water out of the area you are cleaning. My husband and I tag teamed the back seat of the car and then moved onto an oversized chair that the kids have gotten their greasy selves and numerous food stains on over the years. Between those two items we used the entire reservoir (going over a few areas two or three times.) Both pieces look almost brand new. Maybe we scrubbed a little too hard on the car seat because the fabric pilled in a few places. If you're cleaning a more delicate fabric just use gentle pressure and be prepared to do a few more runs with the cleaner or vacuum hose. A few items to note: - There's a small rubber gasket on the solution sprayer part of the device. This moved around a little bit while cleaning and when it did, the sprayer had a tendency to leak. But once we scooted it back in place it worked fine. - The small detail brush isn't as sturdy as the larger brush but it is great at getting into tight spaces. We removed the larger scrubber piece from the attachment and scrubbed with that in some of the crevices, and on the end of the arm rest of the chair and went back in with the smaller detail attachment to remove the water. - Fairly easy to clean the clean and dirty reservoirs but the clean side doesn't drain all of the water out easily. We left it outside on a warm day and the small bit of water evaporated out. - Self cleaning feature is pretty cool. - Did not use the rubber scrub attachment so cannot comment on that. - Nice long cord and hose (we did remove the entire back seat of the vehicle to get a better angle though) - Not too heavy, easy to carry around. - Be prepared to clean an entire piece of furniture because it works so well that spot cleaning will likely leave bright clean spots.

Ithis was delivered to me a few days ago but I literally just had the pleasure to use it for the first time. THIS HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE!! It took about a minute and a half to assemble which was awesome.I honestly think it looks really cool.it has twice as much capacity on both tanks as all the others.the power cord is like 20 ft and the hose is about 6 ft. I love that I don't have to fight with the attachments when I hook them up or taking one off.now for the best part ( other than it being really easy to tote around cuz the handle is oddly comfortable to hold lol) but the absolute best thing about this beautiful little contraption...is the suction power.i almost lost hope for my big Oriental area rug in my living room.lets just say it's been through it and then some and it's incredibly noticable.but after just 20 mins with this shampooer and it's already looking like new.even tho it's been 5 or 6 years since it's been washed.so I absolutely recommend this amazing little machine!

This is amazing. Easy to use . Suction is great works very well with all size messes. Easy to clean. Just when emptying it be carful you don’t inhale the nasty stuff you empty other then that it is amazing a little pricey but worth it

I absolutely love this cleaner! When my rescue dog is on steroids for inflammation, she sometimes wets in her sleep due to a botched spaying. Of course it happened on an antique sofa with fixed cushions. So I tried this cleaner, and am so glad I did! It was extremely easy to set up, and while heavy when filled, it wasn't terrible. I sprayed the stained upholstery with Resolve Urine Destroyer before cleaning. I had a bit of a learning curve with the suction. Instinct is to hold the head flat, but all the suction comes through slits at the front of the attachment (photo attached), so the head needs to be at a 90 degree angle to the wet surface. A little pressure on the head helped get the most water out of the upholstery. Happily, the couch now has zero odor!!!! I also tried it on an area rug, and it worked beautifully. The rug was almost dry when I finished. Cleaning the unit was so easy. The plastic cover comes off of the attachment, so I was able to get rid of the dirt and dog hair in the crevices. The hose cleaning function was great for draining the solution tank, followed by a rinse with plain warm water. I had some leaking, but found I just wasn't pushing the hose far enough into the machine. I washed the pieces with antibacterial dish soap because urine was involved. Left the hose dangling down to dry with the head in a bucket, as wrapping it would trap moisture inside. Air dried the parts and then put the in the provided storage bag, which has a nifty hanger top and a mesh panel for airflow.

Honestly BEST spot cleaning product ever!!! Had it for 2 years now and it does great! I manage a motel of 66 rooms and I kid you not, we use this weekly to clean mattresses from guests who have peed and spilled stuff through the mattress protector (which is waterproof... I guess to an extent). We use the exact solution and dilation it suggests and empty/clean it out after every use to keep it in good condition. I recently brought it home from work to clean 5+ yr old stains in my soon to be daughter room. I should've taken more before photos. BUT, towards the end my brain started working and I took one of the last area of stains I was cleaning.

I was a little nervous to buy this because of the mixed reviews, but I’m so glad I did. It works really well, has great suction, and got stains out that I thought were permanent. It’s easy to use and clean too. Definitely happy with my purchase! Only disadvantage is that it leaks a bit during use.

I've lost track of how many spot cleaners we've tried. Hoover, Bissell, it seems as though we've tried them all. This Hoover model appears particularly well thought out. Its clean and dirty tanks are easy to install, remove, fill and clean, it has a hose flushing port to clean its hose after use, and it has one feature more important than perhaps anything else: A REPLACEABLE HOSE. Why is this so important? Because almost without exception, where ALL of these devices fail is that the hose gets brittle and breaks, and then since the hose is non-replaceable, you have to replace the entire device. The Cleanslate XL solves this problem: If its hose splits, you can just replace it. This might save you SEVERAL complete replacements over the life of the machine. Honestly, every manufacturer of handheld spot cleaners SHOULD do this ... but they probably won't.

I really wanted to love the Hoover CleanSlate XL because it cleans spills and spots extremely well. Unfortunately, my unit leaks, and it started after the very first use. What works • Strong cleaning performance on spills and spot cleaning • Easy to use and effective while actively cleaning The problem: leaking (immediate and ongoing) Below is a clear, step-by-step outline of what happened and the troubleshooting I completed. 1. First use: I used the machine normally to clean a spill/spot. 2. Leak noticed immediately: After finishing, I noticed water/solution leaking. 3. Followed the manual troubleshooting: The instructions suggest several common user-error issues. I triple-checked everything, and none applied. • The clean/solution tank and the dirty/collection tank were nowhere near max capacity. • There was no leak in the hose. • Both tanks were seated correctly and locked into place. 4. Additional troubleshooting: I watched a YouTube video addressing this issue and followed the suggested steps. Per the video, before testing the unit again, I pressed the release mechanism on the bottom of the clean water/solution tank (the part that seats into the machine and controls when water/solution is released during spraying) to check for sticking or sealing issues. I followed all recommendations short of taking the unit apart. 5. Tested again: I used the machine a second time for troubleshooting purposes. 6. Post-use leak test: After finishing, I removed both the clean water/solution tank and the dirty/collection tank and set the machine aside. 7. Leak continued after use: About 10 minutes later, water had leaked everywhere, even though both tanks were removed. 8. Source of leak: The liquid appears to be coming from the bottom of the unit, and it appears to be clean water/solution, not dirty water. Why this is disappointing For a product designed to clean messes, it should not create new ones. While the cleaning performance itself is excellent, the leaking makes this messy, frustrating, and unreliable to use or store. I’m sharing this so both the manufacturer and Amazon are aware. Whether this is a design issue, a seal failure, or a defective unit, it needs to be addressed. I wanted to keep this machine, but the leaking makes that difficult to justify.

The item I recieved had poor suction, and it seemed to be previously used. It was returned. Not as described.

Works very well for upholstery and easy to maneuver. It is a great addition to our full size carpet cleaner.

Hi today only I start using the machine it is not working what is the process of solving this issue
