I bought this lock for my main door to protect my family, but the actual experience has been unsafe and deeply disappointing.Eventually several months after installation, the lock failed and my family and I were locked out of our own home. The company’s own technician ultimately had to smash the lock open to regain entry. When the lock was opened, I saw that the main locking/unlocking mechanism inside had been “secured” using green electrical tape instead of being properly fixed – something I, or any industry professional would, consider completely unprofessional and unsafe.If this failure had happened with only my children inside, they could have been trapped. The attached photos show the broken lock and the taped internal mechanism.After this, I contacted customer support and also wrote on WhatsApp. Instead of taking full responsibility and issuing a refund, they pushed a replacement for only front panel and simply refused to refund the amount I had paid, even though the lock had to be broken open due to their own installation. Only after repeated escalation did I even get a short apology, but by then I had completely lost trust in the brand.On top of this, I cannot forget, immediately after purchase and installation, I was repeatedly called and was being pushed to give a 5‑star rating on Amazon. One executive even said that their job could be at risk if I did not give a 5‑star rating right away after installation.After what I have gone through, I would not blindly trust the high ratings.Because of this entire episode, I have had to buy a different lock from another company and have suffered avoidable expense, inconvenience and anxiety about my family’s safety. I am sharing this review so that buyers have the full picture before making any decision.

The lock is value for money and is good. The build quality can be better. The user manual needs to be updated to match the product so that people can use it properly. The battery backup is good. The new battery was 85% and after a year its 40% with extensive use. The customer care can be better but they are overwhelmed as the product documentation does not match the product. The door bell integration is the next step for them.

Outstanding customer support from Anurag at Lavna Locks! He set up my lock with me over a video call and was incredibly patient throughout. He guided me through every single step, never rushed me, and happily repeated things whenever I needed. It felt like he was right beside me the whole time. He didn't end the call until everything was working perfectly. His patience, kindness and clear explanations made the entire setup completely stress-free. Lavna Locks is lucky to have him. Highly recommended!
