I ordered these in a pinch because I was traveling from Chicago to Mexico in November. It's not easy to find summer stuff in Chicago at that time of year, so I found these and ordered. I liked the design and the trunks were up to par with HH's usual quality, but the sizing ran small. I'm usually a Men's Med, but the waist size range for this product pointed to a Men's Small. I reluctantly ordered the small. They came right before my trip and were ridiculously small - I could barely get them around my waist. I returned them and found another pair once I got down to Mexico. I would consider buying these shorts a second time around. My advice would be to go with your usual size despite what the size chart may say.

They have an elastic waist band. The material is gathered and bunched, creating a ballooning look... Poofy... Fluffy... Bloomers? From the picture, I thought these were flat front trunks. Flat front trunks and shorts are contemporary and flattering.
