It's noticeably tight in all areas besides the stomach. It's firm enough to never slip off, even if you are doing some grappling sport, but loose enough to not feel like there's a snake around you.

I would go for a med. I am 175 lbs 5’9. I have large. Even that large is ok, I feel size med would be a better, tighter fit.
