I was in a car crash a month ago and have been in recovery. My left knee, shin, and ankle require a cold compress. I was managing with ice packs, but I could never get the entire area at once. I took a risk and bought this. It is large enough to cover wide range of leg sizes in my opinion. I weigh 150lbs, 5'6'' and wear a size 9-10 in women's pants. My legs are pretty thick. I was happy that this not only covered the top of my leg to my ankle but also curved the sides of my leg too. There are 3 straps to secure it around your leg wherever you desire to place it. The straps are stretchy and have velcro on the ends. The velcro is large enough to feel secure. What I loved about this icepack is that you can raise it to your hip and strap it around your hips to fully secure it. I did try walking with it around my house and it does not slip down. It is slightly bulky but I expected that. It comes with a large Ziplock type bag to store the cooling leg pad in while you put it in your freezer. The instructions say that it should be in the freezer for 6 hours for the entire leg cooling pad to be effective. The inside of the leg cooling pad is felt-type fabric. Very soft and you definitely feel the cold temp through the fabric but it doesn't feel wet, or soggy (compared to ice packs). It's nice for the initial shock of the cold compress. I would say this lasts about 20 minutes (as described in the booklet). I also know I wouldn't want to go over this time limit to avoid cold burns. You know when to remove it because the inside felt-fabric does get warm because of your body temperature. The outside is every easy to clean if you want too. Just grab a towel and wipe of the condensation but I don't do that. I just throw it in the bag and put it in the freezer. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. It has helped reduce my pain throughout the day. So far I've gotten 2 uses out of it during a 24 hour day (because of how long I need to put it in the freezer). But if you put it in the freezer while you're at work, and then come home and strap it on, it really helped to reduce my inflammation, swelling, and pain. I really don't have any complaints with this. I recommend this for those who are experiencing aches, pains, inflammation in your leg, knee, ankle, shin, or hips.

Absolutely love this! I tore my ACL and have been icing regularly, this leg ice wrap makes it so much easier and more effective given the size. - It folds easily so you can pop it right back in the freezer after using it. - I found that it last a while, staying very cold for over 30 minutes. - The straps are really handy so you can secure it easily. - In terms of flexibility, it is malleable and gets more so as it thaws out a little bit. - The weight is comfortable too and has a comforting weight. This is a great product and a wonderful value! I’m 5’4” for reference

this is the best l have bought for my husbands knee replacements, Don't have to worry about it falling off, it almost feels like a weighted blanket, Hubby says is quiet comfortable.

This ice pack is mostly helpful. I had left total hip replacement surgery.It does not cover the full leg. It stays cold but there is condensation that forms so depending on where you have it put a towel over it so nothing gets wet. I bought additional straps because there’s not one around the knee or thigh and the straps that come with it are difficult to get around me to stay as I am a bigger woman. I would say I would need two or three of these to cover my entire thigh. And it only goes down to my knee it does not cover my entire leg, which requires me to either buy more of these which would be at least four or five in total to cover one leg entirely or use additional ice packs which is not the purpose. I’m not sure how long the freezing time is because I have multiple ice packs. Velcro is good and holds. One side is soft and one side is not. The material seems to be a good quality so far, but I’ve only used it for two weeks. I have not had any leakage and the gel does cover the entire pack. If you put it in the freezer in the bag, it folds fine. It doesn’t need to be perfect as if it’s shipped but I fold it and then fold it again stick it in the sleeve and put it in the freezer. But there is still condensation that forms. I just wish it fit more of my leg.
