The Swingline Commercial Stapler is one of the most common office necessities there is. I’ve had many staplers over the years and I swear by these particular staplers. They are heavy duty in every sense of the word. I’ve watched office workers use these staplers to hammer small NAILS into the walls to hang everything from diplomas to licenses. Use as a hammer isn’t recommended but using it to staple papers (up to 20 pieces) is right up its alley. This stapler has a longer swing than the smaller, handheld units, giving you the ability to staple across longer pieces of paper. It’s considered portable since it’s not like the 100+ sheet industrial staplers (I have one for big jobs) but it’s not something you want to haul around in your bag or backpack. The stapler is standard “office black” but it’s available in a wide range of bright colors. Alas, the red one I wanted wasn’t on sale and I opted for price savings over flash — for now. The stapler uses standard staples and it just works. It can also be opened flat for stapling against vertical surfaces (like walls or doors). This feature is great for bulletin boards or parade floats, too. For staplers, you can’t beat Swingline. I continue to buy Swingline for a reason. They work great and are built to last. I can’t ask for anything more.

Seems like a good stapler. But only giving it a 4 out of 5 because I asked a question to the AI and was told there was no rubber, that it was all metal, which is why I got it - because I am very sensitive to odors. This has rubber on the bottom, not a lot like other staplers and there is an odor, but terribly strong - however the main reason that I bought this particular stapler was because I was told it was all metal.

the staples keep getting stuck instead of stapling. I want to return it but don't see how. I am very upset. I used Swingline staplers in NYC for decades and never had a problem.

These are my favourite staplers! They are sturdy, will staple through a thick bundle of paper. I used them over 25 years ago and so glad I found them on Amazon! Way to go Amazon! And Swingline!!

Stapler has a really nice feel to it knowing its not going to jam. Very nice style and weight to it, Well pleased.

Solid stapler. It’s made of metal so will last for years. I stapled 17 sheets together very easily.
