This is the divider to buy
Having used many types of dividers over the years- these are by far and away the best! Because of the wheel mechanism they dont move once set but are very easy to adjust- perfect for super accurate chart work. If you are doing Day Skipper or Yacht Master courses- these are the ones to get

Brilliant for Chartwork.
I bought this compass for my Nautical course at COGC as it is made by the same brand as the brass dividers we are provided. This compass has a long radius and high accuracy thanks to the precise wheel and sharp graphite point, making it ideal for paper chartwork when plotting ranges.

Best dividers for high accuracy
Much better than other dividers, you can achieve ultimate accuracy, especially if you're plotting celestial sights.The little wheel in the middle moves the diviers in and out which means that once you have measured distance, it won't move until you want it to.The ends are also pointy and there is a holder for a pencil "lead" if you want to make marks on your chart of Universal Plotting Sheet

very reasonable, very well made and easy to use. I you want to lay a course, measure accuratley, this is the baby.....buy it

Not what I asked for!
I’m fairly sure I ordered a different compass/divider.But these are good (maybe better), as are most things from Weems & Plath.

A fine accurate and lightweight instrument.Highly recommended for art work and technical drawing.The knurled adjustment is particularly useful.
