A good design, but the gauge of the metal used for the blade of the lifter could have been heavier.

I have had one of these for a long time and I am really very happy with it, but it is probably 25 years old, so I thought I should buy another to have if needed as a replacement. I was delighted to find them on this website, so I bought two more. I like it because it is just that bit different from other types - the short handle made it easier to maneuver and flip-over whatever I am cooking; the narrower front edge has a slight curve, which allows it to slide under food more easily - especially when frying eggs. It is light and strong and it is my favourite cooking implement, without a doubt.

This is a bit longer than what I was looking for but it works pretty good. I was surprised how easily it worked in a cast iron pan because it is flat and doesn't seem like something you'd want to try bend a bit upward because it might break. I don't know if I'll ever find another turner like the one I have with a wooden handle, long tang and 35 degree angle bend at the steel rivet connecting the turner to the handle.

Hatte lange nach einem Pfannenwender gesucht, der flach genug ist, unter Pfannekuchen zu schieben, nachdem mein vererbter, alter mit Holzgriff endlich seinen Geist aufgegeben hatte. Mehrere Alternativen ausprobiert, jedoch immer zu dick und unflexibel, um wirklich das ganze Bratgut vom Pfannenrand her anzuheben. Hiermit klappt es. Ob und wie lange dieses Produkt hält kann ich noch nicht sagen.
