Update: The seller contacted me and gave me a full refund. I am ordering another one and am happy with the seller's response--their customer service seems to be good. This item was purchased as a gift a month prior to the individual's birthday. The gift was opened 1 day after the return window expired. Upon opening it was discovered that there was a gouge in the blade which would require a significant amount of the blade to re removed to get a good edge. All attempts to return to sender resulted in a message from Amazon that the return window had expired. Efforts to contact the seller via Amazon also proved futile as I could not find a way to do so. Not only am I dissatisfied with the seller, I am also disappointed in Amazon as they obviously don't want to provide a way to speak to a human, you can only interface with their automated options. God forbid they might have to hire a person to answer questions.

Very sharp, great quality and material, cuts with the slightest touch, I will be using this as my everyday kitchen knife and tossing out all my others as this is the only one needed now.

Not your typical all-purpose utility knife. Certainly not a typical ULU type knife used for scrapping. I've used it in the kitchen much like a chef knife and found it does what it was designed for. The blade is Damascus, but suspect it's low quality or dare to say, fake. The shape is typical and not unique in that matter. Out of the box, it wasn't the sharpest, no pun, knife in the toolbox. Because of the Damascus, I will have to figure out just how to sharpen it without causing damage. The handle? It's a good addition and reason why I rate this higher. Mine came with a light oil and I had to make sure it was washed properly and wasn't going to rust. Again, not knowing the blade's tempering or Damascus quality. I'm not sure how, if used as a kitchen chopper, how it will handle acidic materials. Which makes pizza, if used for that, will be questionable. Overall? A pretty good cutter or chopper to have just in case you are not wanting to use a chef knife. The size limits its use, but not that critical. Anything other than for use in a kitchen environment, or in my case, a camper cutter/chopper, will be seriously doubtful. Wouldn't avoid if that's what you are thinking. It will work, but for what it was meant for.

I have only used this knife twice and it rusted like crazy after only the second use. Followed basic metal kitchenware care and it rusted over night. I will say that it was incredibly sharp and cool looking. Sadly it’s downfall was how quickly and easily it rusted.

Well made vary happy with itdidn't give 5 stars because had few imperfections on handle hardly noticeable.
