IRWIN INDUSTRIAL TOOL TV197918 11/16" Silver Deming Bit

Quality bit. I used it in a Milwaukee mag drill to punch several holes in a 2 inch solid steel hitch. I thought I’d have to buy several due to how thick the steel was; really impressed with how it held up.

Tried to drill hole in 5/16 thick steel angle.Drilled 1/8" pilot hole. Tried to drill the 11/16 hole, would not cut.Increased the pilot hole to 1/2" (with a cheap harbor freight bit) , still not cutting good.Went to a 5/8" bit and then kept trying to cut the last 1/6 with this bit. Got it done after a bit of time.Thought I was buying a quality product. Don't waste your money on this.

As a former machinist I know quality drill bits, and this one is shop grade.

I am a professional metal worker. This bit barely lasted one hole before I had to sharpen it. Material was only 1/8" thick.

Best in the price range. I like Irwin bits. I wouldnʻt necessarily use this on really hard steel, but soft steel and aluminum should be good to go.

Had to drill into a truck body frame and it worked very well

I had to get a specific size that I didnt own to drill 10 holes in 1/4 inch plate. I drilled ten holes with ease and this bit was great.

Does what it is supposed to do, drill 11/16" holes...
