What size do I need for a moss wall?

For a moss wall project, you should choose the 1.25 lbs size to ensure enough moss for full coverage and a natural, even thickness. Any leftover moss can be stored for future projects such as terrariums, potted plants, or other DIY decor ideas.

Do I need to soak or wet the moss before using it?

No soaking is required. The Upgraded version is lightly compressed for easier separation. Lightly spray water if needed, then gently loosen the moss for a more natural fluffy texture—saving prep time and making it easier for crafting and decorating.

Can I store the moss for a long time?

Yes. The moss is vacuum-sealed to help maintain quality during storage. For multiple DIY projects or seasonal decorations, choose a larger pack like 10 oz or 1.25 lb so you can store it and reuse anytime without running out quickly.

The moss has a strong smell. Will it fade away?

The moss is made from natural forest moss, which has a characteristic natural smell of forest moss when first opened, but it will fade once aired out. If you're sensitive to smells, avoid spraying water on the moss and keep it dry.

Is this real moss or artificial? How is the green color made?

This is 100% real forest moss, not artificial moss. The green color is created through a plant-based color process using ingredients derived from plant leaves, making it safe for use around people and pets.
