Right thread size and length to work on an HJC IS-MAX-BT, but head must be turned down
I needed a replacement screw for my HJC IS-MAX-BT, which I have had since around 2011. You can't buy these screws for this helmet anymore it seems, unless you go with the kit to replace the ratchet base as well, at $30. For 10 bucks, I figured this was worth a shot. The good news is, the thread size, pitch, and length are correct for my helmet, the bad news is that the head was way too big. So, I turned down the head on my lathe, and they work perfectly now. In fact a bit better than original since I was able to leave the head a little bit bigger than the original. I also put on some blue thread locker so hopefully I won't have any more falling out.In the photos on the workbench, the black screw is the original, and you can see that the head is both wider and thicker. Fortunately the thickness was not an issue and after a short stint on the lathe it works great. With a little black permanent marker, it's hard to tell the difference. If you don't have a lathe, you can put this in a drill chuck and turn it down with a file. It's pretty soft aluminum, so it should file down quickly. I used a file to smooth and round the edges after cutting on the lathe. Just be sure to put a 6mm nut on it first, as the threads are soft as well, and use some WD40 or other oil to lubricate the file, and don't go too fast.I took away one star because these screws are really soft aluminum. I don't think they could handle being removed more than a few times before the slots will be stripped. They are already damaged after 3 install/removals. Hopefully I won't need to remove this one ever again. All in all, it you need a replacement for this helmet this one will work with a little work. Or, you can just use a standard button head 6mm bolt if you're not worried about needing an allen wrench to tighten or loosen the bolt.

They seem okay, but they're all plastic ... none of the metal ones
None of the metal screws were included. Just 6 of the plastic ones.

Excellent Quality
Excellent quality. These screws, however, do not fit the HJC i30 helmet as intended.

Good fit for my son's helmet, but all plastic
They are a good fit for my son's Fuel Frenzy MX helmet, but they are all plastic. You have to get them in pretty far before they grip due to soft plastic threads. I got 6 plastic thumb screws with 6 clear washers in my set, I see the listing is now for a combination of 4 plastic thumb screws and 4 metal screws. They do come in a small plastic box for storage.

Fit most the holes in my Helment
I bought this for replacing this helment and most of them was able to fit. I think on the helment I have, the middle screw was worn so I couldn't fit a new screw in, but the old one seemed to work fine. Overall very affordable and durable.
