I used it to make burger buns (ultra low carb for Keto), they were excellent. I buttered each well lightly before adding the batter to the pan. After baking, a table knife stuck down the side of the baking well popped out each bun without any difficulty. I didn't have to run the knife around the perimeter, I just stuck it in and popped the bun out. Nice!The pan instructions say to use Camp Chef's Cast Iron Cleaner to clean the pan. Now they tell me. The pan comes pre-seasoned, ready to use - but I needed to clean it before the first use and after. The cleaner is available on line and maybe in some stores but I needed it right then.The surface is very textured, so that both paper towels or a cloth one leaves fibers behind. I will try a non-fuzzy towel if I can find one available, the kind my grandmother used decades ago. To clean it - a brush would work but I didn't have a good one handy. I used what I call a plastic "scrubbie" to clean it without any water; that worked. Cleaning caste iron without water is recommended by many - so if the scrubber is dry, you don't need to dry the pan afterwards.Bottom line - for me, using this economically priced pan requires having one or two non-linting towels. And I'll look for an appropriate brush for scrubbing it easily. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect cast iron pan! *by C***L on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2017* First off, those having trouble might need to try another men's of seasoning this pan. I season ALL my cast iron with butter and it only takes about 5-15 minutes! First get your oven heated to 350, pop your pan in, wait till it's hot, rub butter all over it using LOTS! Pop it back in for another 5-10 minutes. Now let it cool. Rub some fresh butter on it before use and again after. That's it! My skillets I do on the stove same way. I love cast iron, been using cast iron skillets for years and decided it was high time I got some cast iron bakeware too!My family LOVES muffins, it's a favorite so this was my first choice purchase.It took a couple times to season it perfectly but it's perfect now! I actually haven't made muffins yet BUT, based on another review I tried cooking eggs in it for a quick biscuit sandwich for breakfast.. this morning I put a slice of ham under the egg and it was absolutely perfect! I didn't even realize it was cast iron when I bought it (which is cool because i love cast iron)the only thing that bothered me is there was a little rust in one of the cups. The seasoning that came on it was somewhat alright but it was pretty sticky so I scrubbed about 75% of it off with hot soapy water and the hard side of the sponge, and i got the rusty spot off with some barkeepers friend. then I applied some flax oil and baked it at 375 degrees for about an hour and a half. Now its got a nice slick surface that's not sticky and the rust spot is gone so its pretty great.
