Good chuck
This is a good little chuck for what I paid for it. When I bought it the price was 20 bucks cheaper and I caught it on sale so even less. For the price that it is now however I think I would just buy a nova. But if you can find it in a sale or something it’s definitely worth it

on the back of a welding truck
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Cheapest price i could findValue for money:I beat the crap out of it everyday, use a Milwaukee 1/2’’ impact to tighten and loosen it every time and expect it to break so i already got a back up but it hasn’t broke yet.Functionality:Keep a can of wd-40 handy and spray it down occasionally, when left out in the rain

An 8 inch Diameter 3 Jaw Chuck with reversable jaws, Great for the price.
This mechanical chuck is a bit clunky. The materials, quantity and quality of machine work in this chuck yet produced at such a low cost and delivered to your front door, amazing. These economy tools often need some special TLC first for assembly. More for you buck. Take it apart and smooth deburr the sharp edges you will find most everywhere. A little lube on any bearing pin, Its a great 8 inch Chuck for the price. I installed an D4 adaptor plate on mine to mount on my 14 inch Lathe, This chuck may be too big for smaller lathes. Runs true enough, holds a 2 1/2 inch diameter material into the chuck hole. Machine handles it. Its a great chuck for the price, not my choice for production in a machine shop, but good enough for a home hobbyist. Soft jaws and everything runs perfect..

Nice Affordable part minus possible defective threads
Received the chuck and later I tried to mount it. The backplate has 3 screws holding the rear plastic chipguard and one stuck out(frozen=no move), Chuck would not set flat against spindle flange. after cutting area of plastic surrounding screw I removed the stub-didn't appear the hole had threads so screw was jammed in. Called VEVOR, nice people but "much talk about nothing" I would have repaired the chuck if they could have supplied the .25 plastic piece, nice people but stalling 2 day replies- Spoke to Amazon who professionally solved my problem and advised return item. Overall the Chuck is good appearing item minus the defect = UPDATE -Vevor delivered replace chuck a couple of days ago-neighbor picked it up to prevent theft and finally told me-lol,, I move VEVOR cust. service to 5 stars(5)

THE PACKING WAS BROKEN .HOWEVER THE CHUCK IS INTACT . IT WILL BE SOME TIME BEFORE I CAN USE IT AS I WILL HAVE TO MOUNT IT . THE PRICE WAS EXCELLANT . VERY AFFORDABLE FOR THE SIZE . I LOOK FORWARD TO USING IT . I WILL UPDATE AT A LATER TIME . AND THIS IS A REQUEST TO AMAZON DIRECTLY , IF YOU SHOULD OFFER THE CHANCE TO WRITE A REVIEW FOR THE VEVOR 7 X 14 METAL LATHE, I'LL DO IT . IT WILL BE AN HONEST AND BRUTAL REVEIW. HOWEVER IT WILL HAVE TO BE BY THE WAY OF OF YOUR VINE PROGRAM .

Little crunchy but works well
It's obviously a cheaper rougher chuck, but it's perfect for my little hobby lathe at home. The scroll isn't smooth but it seems to clamp well and pretty repeatedly. Still pretty new so I don't know about longevity.
