Works great
The media could not be loaded. Didn’t come with instructions but the hose works great. I posted a video so you’ll be able to see. Has a good flow rate. Definitely doesn’t just trickle out. It and wasn’t hard to get it going. Just submerge and shake. Great idea and a great product.

easy to use and really works !
somewhat to my surprise this siphon hose really works well - and is VERY easy to use ... simply insert valve end into the liquid you want to move and shake up and down ... the hose is soft and flexible ... the valve appears to be solid copper with a glass ball (nothing metallic and no other parts) - so so so simple yet really works ... for the price everyone should have one in their car IF only as insurance for that day you - or someone - runs out of gas ... for emergencies/insurance ... valve measures ~ 0.866" (~22mm) and fits inside a standard unleaded gas nozzle hole ... only tried with gas, but should work on any similar liquids/fuels such as water, kerosene, diesel, etc. ... while the copper might oxidize at some point, the copper should be impervious to most liquid/fuels ... highly recommend

Follow the instructions!!
This is a self-priming siphon. It does not require water from a garden hose. It doesn't require you to suck gas fumes or liquid (or anything else for that matter. I guess the easiest way to describe it is to put the 'head' or valve end into the liquid you want to siphon. By QUICKLY pumping it up and down without removing it from the liquid the valve will begin filling the tube. You can see it fill. when it gets to the top and the exit end is lower than the inlet, the siphon action will start. That's all there is to it. Move it too slowly and it won't prime. Move it back and forth and it won't activate the valve. So, now it's working what do we do with it? I originally thought to use it with my wine and mead brewing, but getting and keeping it sanitized would be a headache. But I also capture rainwater in IBC totes (330 gallons) for my vegetable garden. I have a system set up to automatically water, but occasionally I need to pull off some for other uses. This will work great for that.I know it can also siphon gas, but I haven't done that in a long time and there are other uses it can be put to. Besides, once you run petroleum through it that's all it's good for.

Where's the QA on this item?
This - even after multiple tries - did not at all work. Finally took it apart and found in the outlet chamber a free floating "T" shaped piece of rigid black plastic big enough not to escape that chamber, but clearly and obviously kept the ball valve from fully closing. Removed this piece of plastic, put everything back together, and the device now works fine. I should not have had to QA the device myself and fix this problem on behalf of the vendor/manufacturer.

No need to risk sucking on it
I've done some siphons of gas to move it into another tanks and tasted the gas. With this you just move the hose and the fluid can only move the one way with the check valve/ball allowing you to start the siphon. So it's much safer and easier (as long as you have 6+ inches to stroke it in). Also once going the ball with no spring allows free-flow.

Siphoning hose
The siphoning hose work fine the quality of the hose is not really up to par the end of it that is brass or copper not quite sure what it is. used to Prime the hose works fine the walls of the hose are too thin they collapse easily which creates a restriction when you're siphoning but other than that it does the job .
