I purchased this light for a dark area in the alleyway on our street. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this light. It is made of powder coated steel and is extremely solid. The lights are protected by high-grade glass, and all of the hardware is stainless steel. This is a very well-made, commercial grade light at an extremely good price. The solar panel is solid and very large, easily generating enough stored energy to power the light all night long. This model does not have motion detection (we did not want that) and it comes on automatically at dusk and turns off at dawn. The unit was easy to install. I used 4 lag bolts (which I bought from Home Depot) and attached it directly to telephone pole in the alley. One thing to note--when you install it, make sure you push the red test button at the base of the light (where it attaches to the pole support) to activate the charging and on/off functions. I wasn't sure how bright the 1200 lumens would be, but attached to the pole at a 10 ft height, it gives plenty of light.

They work as expected. The solar panel connection need some love when connecting. But it is ok. So far they have been operating for a couple of months. Moving into fall season so we will see if they get enough sun.The only known disappointment so far.. the brightness is a lot lower that expected and nothing like the advertising photo suggest. But, they do what I need over steps.

I did not activate the motion detector, but it is lighted from dusk to dawn and I checked it at dawn as it was as bright as it was at dusk.I bought it in 2018 & it had been going since then and I like it during brown outs, as it is located on my house side and in front. No need for electrical power, only by the sun.

nice extra long cable to allow remote mounting of the solar panel. could even use it for a inside light in a shed.UPDATE: bought another from same 3rd party seller and now the light does not come with an extension cable to remote mount the solar panel. contacted seller and was told no longer included.

Not bright enough

Is been a week n this light is not giving the 9000lm wat it say wen I bouth it.. I bought one at Sam's club for $30 dls work better than this of course is not 9000lm is like 1600lm but lights way better, 2 be honest I don't recommend spending $78 dls on this light not worth it can't return it because i was thinking it was 9000lm n I had someone 2 put up paying him 2 put it down i just buy one at Sam's or maybe try different one

I put it together and it was really easy. Really went built and looks great but its just got bright. Really wanted to light it but not bright enough for where I wanted to put it.

The brightness of the light was lower than expected, the light had continual condensation in it even though I live in a dryer area of the US and it only lasted about 6 months before the light quit working. I won't buy it again and don't recommend it.
