Had a few weeks now & was easy to set up & seems to all be working well.Nice little fish tank, although the water recycling through the top does make me a little nervous.

Currently unavailable at time of review…..This is a decent size fish tank for a beginner…like me….Never had fish before so I was quite excited to get this….This tank was very easy to set up…..does require keeping it plugged in ….Comes with the usb cord but no plug…..For me as a beginner this is an ideal size…..Seems solid and there are different coloured lights you can switch to…..pity it does not change the lights automatically….there is a button on the back next to the plug in to switch the lights….I thought the red coloured light was a bit to strong….Now the fish…….And before you buy any fish please go to a good decent aquarium that sells fish and know that they are talking about….do not just go and buy any fish and put them in the tank….they will die….The advert states the fish that are suited for this tank are betta fish….zebra fish…guppy and ornamental shrimp….this is not true….to put those fish in this tank you will need to purchase a heater….The only fish suited without a heater are minnows….zebra danio and gold zebra danio….I was also advised to only buy 4 until the fish settle and then after a few weeks get some more….Also as a beginner….I was asked if I had treated the water…..and again advised to put half a teaspoon of stress coat into the water as this will take out the chloroform….also do not over feed the fish….only one flake of fish food twice a week….You do not have to take the lid off when feeding the fish as there are slots all around the top which you can just drop the food in…I’m disappointed I could not get the fish I wanted….unless I buy a heater….I don’t know how much one would be but I didn’t want to get into making sure the water was right temperature and all that….So with the dish I have I’m happy and I will be buying more….as I’ve only 4 tiny ones in there are moment….I’ve also had to buy the stones for the bottom and trees and an ornament ….so for this small fish tankWith the fish and bits I needed I’ve probs spent about £30…..Very happy to recommend this tank but do your homework first and ask about the fish before you buy…..

Despite this tank being small it’s not actually suitable for small fish. Numerous fish were sucked up into the bottom of the filter and killed due to the poor design with large intake gaps directly into the filter system which sucked fish in and then they couldn’t get out. The first time it happened we thought it was unlucky but this happened to 4 fish. Needless to say we have stopped using the tank and are using a different one with different design. I wouldn’t buy as poorly thought out tank design

For a novelty desk top item this would fit the bill. Sadly I'm a but underwhelmed as you really need to keep very small fish such as tetras or guppies so that also requires a heater for them which takes up even more room in the tank. Its just a bit too gimiky for me and as I keep tropical fish I think the tank is just too small to boardline cruel

Have contacted amazon was told I can return but got fish in now was hoping for new base for protector to motor as clips keep unclipping and hanging down little from distance looks like it's on side but ain't

The media could not be loaded. This is a small compact fish tank so can only hold a few fish. It was easy to set up following the instructions. It looks lovely lit up and there are several shades to choose from, looks even better at night in the dark. The pump filters the water up through where your plant can go and then back through the lid. The tank is clear perspective so not rigid when you carry to empty. A great starter tank though, I ordered this for my teenage granddaughters room, the lights and watching the fish will be soothing and relaxing for her
