Dnd backpack
I bought this bag originally as a renaissance fair bag and it looked great but I’ve started playing dnd and use it to haul all the books I need back and forth from my sister in laws. The only complaint is the front clasp isn’t fully secured and has fallen off not a deal breaker for me because I don’t really use that pocket but it might be for others

Nice bag, get a lot of compliments on it
This is a very nice bag for the price, very attractive and holds a lot of stuff. It could easily be a 5 star bag with a few tweaks, I'm not a huge fan of the magnetic closure on the front pouch, although I haven't had any problems with it it still feels "unsecure" to me. I would also like to see a little heavier material inside, I've been carrying it daily for several months and it's held up well but doesn't seem like it will hold up for an impressively long time. Lastly, I'd like to see some more interior storage options, especially key hangers and smaller zipper pockets for better organization options.

Really nice backpack with classic style
I wanted a canvas backpack with that old 1930s style, and I've always fancied rolltop bags. This one looked too good to be true, but turned out to be pretty true! The dimensions are accurate, and while the canvas did have crease marks right out of the package, those disappeared over a couple weeks of daily use. The side pockets are a little useless (narrows 2" from the bottom? Why?), and the front pocket is good for small items. The main compartment is where it's at. I can cram a lot of stuff in there. The laptop sleeve (not super cushioned but better than nothing) fits an 11"x9" groovebox and my 10" iPad. The sleeve doesn't run all the way to the bottom, though. Since the lining is only sewn around the top edges, the weight of the groovebox pulls the lining (and the top of the bag) downward. I cut a piece of high density foam to line the bottom of the bag and that's worked great for extra protection and to keep the lining from slouching too much.I'm not sure how waterproof it's going to be, but I'm sure it will shrug off a spring shower walking from my car to the house. Long term durability? Who knows? It seems solid and well designed, so it should last long enough for me to find another bag I want to try in a few years. For now, it carries more than my previous bag and makes me happy when I see it.This bag is better looking than others twice its price, and happens to be made really well as a bonus.

Great but not as sturdy as expected
I'm updating this review - it's been about a year since I started using this backpack. I loved it, but it's been my every day backpack and has had to carry a lot of weight. Recently one of the pegs that holds the leather straps has broken off and I can't really fix it because there's a screw missing so I have no way to attach it back onto the bag. I'm still using it until I can find a new backpack or else find a screw that fits but honestly I don't have the time to look for one.Anyway it's a great bag if you don't have to carry a lot of weight around but for those who do, just be prepared for it to wear down relatively quickly.Original 5 star review:I have to have a very large computer for my Architecture classes and most backpacks I've searched for won't actually fit a 17" laptop. This one will. It won't fit in the bag's laptop compartment easily so I just carry my laptop in its own sleeve in the bag. This backpack is great for carrying around all my college stuff, especially since I walk with it all day around a big campus. It fits flatter on my back than my old Jansport did, which is actually a huge help because it distributes the weight rather than dragging me down.Because of that, however, if you carry a lot around you'll have to prioritize and leave some things out so it all fits. Also the deep pockets on the side can hold large water bottles or coffee thermoses, which I like. The canvas is super thick and at first it's a bit stiff but when you break it in it's a lot easier to handle. Also definitely waterproof. I've walked in the rain and snow plenty with this and so far everything's stayed completely dry.The buckle on the front pocket is a liiiiiiiiittle irritating though. The buckle works but the bottom half is only magnetically attached to the bag so if you actually use the buckle as a buckle instead of just for looks, the bottom part might fall off the bag in the process.Overall I'm super happy with this buy. Definitely a versatile, stylish, and comfortable bag, and it's nice to carry around any time.
