A: Either mainly above ear i use it for under a hockey goalie mask and works really well either

A: Yes it will fit. I wear 7/38 hats and this is way too small.

**Q: Could you wear this under a full-face motorcycle helmet?**
A: Yes, especially if u have a bong of hair. I'm bald and it's too loose.

A: Not sure on the diameter but I wear a XXL helmet and it fits me. They are very stretchy!

I bought this to keep my head warm after I shave it,gets cold in the winter,I find it a little small and tight, also kind of scratchy, quality is good but not for me,I tried a different brand, and really like it, made of cotton not scratchy and very comfortable, this is just my opinion of the product.
